while i prefer to switch it up constantly, its pretty common to hear doggystyle being the girls favorite.
I'm thinking of creating a blog, I'd start off based off a blogsite and then move onto my own domain once I thought I'd have enough revenue from adds to cover the cost of running a blog/site and possibly paying someone to help run the technical side of things. My thoughts to base the blog/site around: A blog containing the daily thoughts of a schizophrenic. He would start of talking about his life, and how he thought he was different, then progress to do steady more and more twisted and ****ed up things. Progressing from animal cruelty to murder and dealings with law enforcement. While completely fiction, it would read and be in the form of a personal journal, updated at least two or three times a week. A blog telling the story of a group of kids, this would be loosely based on my life other than the super natural events that slowly begin to tie in. Members of a group of people would begin to suffer different experiences, culminating in the disappearance of characters, and the blog being handed around to different people with different "writing styles" to keep it interesting and move the plot forward. The blog post would look like a personal blog, but with different posters, and the posts would come in the form of written posts, images seemingly taken from normal cameras, news-print, and a few videos. As the story progresses characters (the one or two main characters writing) may even begin to show signs of "cracking" or slowly slipping into insanity, before being replaced for hiatuses or vanishing. The only downside to all of these are the fact that I'd be obligated to finish them at some point, especially the second one. Though with the second one I could always leave the story un-resolved and have the blog and "problem" seemingly "passed on" to a new group of kids that saw the events unfold around there friends, but aren't sure about what happened. So, thoughts? And I really really want to do this, I'd love to be able to sustain myself as a teenager by writing like this, so I really want some feed back, not just "cool story, bro". If you're not going to give actual feedback please just don't post about it. EDIT: as you can tell, I've thought a lot more about the second one, and I'd prefer to do that one I suppose.
You didn't really say which one I should go with, or critique anything lol. And I think I could really do this, I'd write out the first few months of "entries" before I started the website.
The second option sounds a lot better (and less disturbing) than the first... Plus, I am not sure that ad revenue would be flying in with the first one lol
Why do people love horror movies? Is it because they like the "Jump out and scare you" Cheap tricks? No, they like the grinding pulsing fear, the mind twisting thought patterns... things that make you think things you shouldn't think, dark twisted and evil things that seem completely normal and explained out... like in a crazy persons mind.
Nope. Obviously it's fiction, but I will never say it's fiction, and I'll make it as convincing as possible. Because of this it'll draw them in. They'll be like "Haha, how fake." But that doubt will be there. That's what will give them the scare I'm looking for, that creepy thing that dodges into the corner of your eyes, and darts into your mind at night. Everytime they look over their shoulder they'll think about my story, and thus my blog.
I'd have to agree with this, even though i'm not sure if you're trying to get ad revenue or not. I'm very curious about the first one, but the second's more acceptable.
