Haloball Welcome to Haloball. Haloball will hopefully be a new Halo sport which I will be hosting for teams to play ranked matches together in order to reach the top of the leaderboard. Keep reading to learn how to play the game. Below that you will find screenshots of the map and download links. Following on from that you will find out how you can enter your team, the next match, and the current leaderboard. How to Play In Haloball, there are a total of five players per team. 1 captain, 2 soldiers, 1 chopper, and 1 goalie. There are two teams, red and blue. Below is the setup for a regular Haloball game. Captain The leader of the team. This player gives the orders and starts closest to the ball. Soldier The main role of the team. This player is a regular offense unit. Chopper This playerrides in a Chopper; and cannot exit it throughout the game. Great role for marking and defensive play. Goalie Keeps the goal guarded to prevent the other team from scoring. The aim of the game is to score by simply getting the ball into the other teams goal. Each game is 30 minutes long; 15 minutes as halftime. The team with the most goals is declared the winner. Each player is equipped with an energy sword and a gravity hammer. There are also equipment laying around the pitch consisted of trip mines, gravity lifts, deployable covers, and a flare. There are also elevators at each side of the field which can be used for any extra tactics the players have in mind. At the start of the game, the players will be asked by the referee to get into their positions. When everyone is ready; the game begins. The commentator will shoot down the ball and as soon as it hits to floor players are able to start moving and start playing. Players are at 200% speed and have grenade regeneration. They're also invulnerable. Teams are also allowed to bring a reserve player to sit on the bench in case someone leaves or disconnects. This is because once the game is started players are unable to enter or leave, even for a second. If one team is short of players then they forfeit the match. Rules Assassination is forbidden Hijacking is forbidden Shooting while in the chopper is forbidden If a rules is broken then that player is issued a warning. If they break a rule again then they will be sent off (a rule only counts as broken if the referee sees it). Map You may download this map and game variant for practice/training using these links. A: That player will be booted and the reserve will take their place (if they have one).
This looks like it'll be played by the honor rule considering not ALL matches will definitely have a steady referree. Also, who's to say if a player is sent off and refuses to back out? Then you have to end the game and kick the player out. That is, if he's not a douche. It'll be fun to see how a full game goes, though!
Definately watching the first event. I might even be in it, or I could upload the film in an archives thread.
Thanks, though I'm pretty sure you can boot players in-game. --- Cool, I'll currently set you up as a spectator, is that okay?
Oh, congratulations on your pictures working! The gameplay looks immense! Sign me up to play in this, NAO plawks.
Yeah, it's fine, thats pretty much what I wanted. I will start an archive thread after the first game alright?
I am sorry you won't make it. Just be patient and the archive should be coming after the first game is played for all to enjoy.
Can I be a spectator? I won't be annoying! (No mic!) (Although I wouldn't be able to guarantee that I'll be there...) EDIT: Also, does Halo 3 actually count the scores, or are they just remembered by the referees?
Its a soccer ball, take it from there. Although, there better be a break to write down the score and plan out after every score. Lets say 25 points per game, just for lengthy enjoyment.
Ah, I see. Too bad you can't make scenery objects substitutes for goal items :/ That should be in Reach.... anyways, has anyone made a team yet?
Thanks, try to find some other players so that you can form a team. --- That'd be great, is it alright if I postpone the first game to Sunday though? --- Yeah, I'll sign you up. Oh, and pretty much what BloodBender97 said. --- Yeah, I couldn't really decide on how to do it, because I wanted there to be breaks involved or half time or whatever but keep the players informed of the time when I needed it. I currently set the game to 15 minutes long which maybe too short. What do you think? Maybe I should make each game 30 minutes long but 15 minutes is halftime? --- Yeah, me too. Currently nobody's made a team but I'm hoping someone will (I take it in mind that it's hard to find a team of players who are all willing to show up at the same time).
All spectators are full at the moment but you could form your own team or be a reserve for a team who doesn't have one (when they apply).
Okay, I'll sign you up. --- Since I don't see anybody able to find a team and that many people are wanting to be spectators/reserves, how people who can form a team post quoting this reply and I'll form everyone who does as a team.
