    2Fort
    - Epitomous Nub

When I first played Longshore it reminded me of 2Fort from Team Fortress 2, and this class based map is meant to mimic it. The “Tubes” are set to the side, in a platform floating in the water near the attacking base. You spawn on your team's side of the platform, separated from the other by a wall. Jump down one of the four tubes, arm yourself, then jump through either the left or right teleporter. Each team has two “official” spawn areas, which are protected by shield doors. There are four classes, though in my LAN circle of friends they don't have concrete names; what is usually agreed upon is:

    Heavy/Gunner

    • Portable Cover
    • Machine Gun Turret
    • Assault rifle
    • Mauler
    Grenadier/Demoman

    • Trip Mine
    • Brute Shot
    • Mauler
    • 2 Plasma Grenades
    • 2 Spike Grenades
    • 2 Flame Grenades
    Sniper

    • Flare
    • Sniper Rifle
    • SMG
    Scout/Invis

    • Gravity Lift
    • Shotgun
    • Assault Rifle
    • Custom Power Up
      • Lower health
      • High speed
      • High jump
      • Partial Invisibility
This is placed in the Competitive Maps section because it does offer a great level of competition and serious gameplay. The classes have been meticulously balanced and games often hinge on a team being able to effectively coordinate all the unique abilities to win. Originally the Scout had higher health, but that would often end in a more direct and confrontational style of play, rather than a clandestine series of kills.
The accompanying game types are TF2 CTF and TF2 Slayer.

    - This map works best for 4v4

I played around with the damage settings and it affects the weapons as such:
Sniper – 1 head shot, 3 body shots
Mauler – 2 shots (one shot followed by a melee does not kill)
    Assault Rifle – 23 bullets
Shotgun – 2 shots (one shot followed by a melee does kill)
    Melee – 3 smacks
    Brute Shot – 5 shots, 2 melees

first of all, this looks really fun to play, but i'm not sure because i haven't tried it yet.
but could you try putting an overlook screenshot in the post? but one thing that really botters me is that the map looks really really rushed, so, did you rush it? if you did maybe you could make it alot better if you spend alittle more time on it :p

overall score as i see the map now = 7/10

Actually the map wasn't very rushed; it has gone through a couple iterations now, but I understand why you would say that, as it does look overly utilitarian. Thanks for pointing that out, I had been so focused on game play and a working map that I forgot entirely about aesthetic appeal.
This is definitely one of those maps that you need to play with at least 3 other people to appreciate, or even understand.

To be honest, I cannot see how this map resembles 2Fort - I can't see any bases, Intel spawns or the Bridge. And an overview would be nice.
On the sunny side: It looks like you have the class system down well, it's just that they don't quite correspond with the Team Fortress 2 ones - Scout with Camo? it should be a Spy instead.
And that closes the door to my opinion on this map.

I can't say that it was a clone; to me playing Longshore for the first time in CTF felt a lot like 2Fort from TF2, but perhaps that was just me. The class system was meant to be heavily inspired by TF2, but simplified enough that it could be made effective in Halo3. I went with 4 distinct classes with completely different play styles that have obvious influence from TF2 classes. The scout was originally meant to be a close port of its counterpart, but it didn't end up performing well in play tests, so I added elements of the spy, rather than something else so it could play better as a stealth class, and not just a distraction/flag runner. I took the combat classes from TF2 and mixed them into the demo grenadier, and made the sniper slightly more useful in mid range situations with the ability for dual SMGs.
I'll need to port this game type into a new sandbox map designed specifically for it so it doesn't look so amateurish. In the meantime, this map, while not as delightful on the eyes, is one that should be played at least once with teams of 4. Seriously, you won't regret it.
