alright so I've got a video and it's 6 mintues long in HD and the file size is 9GB. I need to upload it onto Youtube but I don't know how to upload it without deteriorating the video's quality because the max fiel size is 2GB. I see videos all the time on youtube that are like 10 minutes long and in perfect HD. I've looked at all the tutorials and everything but I still don't get it, can someon on Forgehub please explain to me step by step as to how I should do this, what file should I render/upload my video in, ect. If you must know my friend has Xilliosoft Video Converter Ultimate. Thanks.

also i would rather not use .mov because I keep getting wavy lines across the film which I would like to avoid.

Try H264 .MP4 at bitrate min 5 max 10. Will take about 2-4 hours depending on your processor. That should get it down to I guess a gb, maybe less.

Raw uncompressed videos in HD do sway towards very high byte ranges.

Ah well I got it done.. definetly avoiding H264 though, it destroyed the video quality.
