I've no idea why I am posting this now. Maybe it's the fact that It's 4 AM, I cannot sleep, and I am almost incoherent owing to my exhaustion. In any case, when I first played on Valhalla, all I could think of was how this remake of Coagulation didn't seem to do it any sort of justice. I decided I would get some opinions. While I myself prefer Coagulation to Valhalla, I'm certain there are those out there who are of the mind that newer is better. So...discuss.
Ehhh, I'm really torn on this one. Coagulation was fun for huge slayer games, but I love Valhalla for the awesome objective games. So it's hard to say.
Well, since i havent played Coasgulation, my vote goes to Valhalla, which actually isnt that bad of a map when you compare it to Epitaph, Isolation, etc
i preferred coagulation. it was way better than valhalla and just had a better layout and gameplay. the hill in valhalla is just so annoying and the map is just too small compared.
When I played halo 1 and 2 with my friends we almost always played in Blood Gulch or Coagulation, because of that I really like coagulation. Valhalla is still a good map though.
I was a diehard Coag fan, and I was a bit dissappointed that Valhalla wasn't an exact remake. It's still a good map though.
I like coag a lot because of the non-river aspect and less cliffs/hills, but the 3 story base got annoying. Valhallah maybe, not sure.
To tell you the truth, I hate both maps. Probably because I hate walking across them without a vehicle. I always loved Headlong
I think valhalla and standoff are enough. I didn't really like coag, nor do I really like valhalla... they seem very similar, but valhalla is a much needed improvement. With the added cover and varied terrain, valhalla offers more than just long-range or vehicle combat. It's much better than coag. Standoff, I like more than all of them, though. It's a nice level that has superb weapon placement... but I still would rather play a different level than it.
