No AI behaviour customizing. I think that means you can have standard Firefight, where random enemies are selected and you keep fighting until you die or custom Firefights. Seeing as it will be in matchmaking, I think Time Limit might be one option to customize. So I expect Round and Set limits will also be present, scoring as much as you can with a limited number of enemies. I think possibly we might be able to change what enemies are dropped off, too. Like "Vehicles Only" or "No Heavy Weapons", things like that. Perhaps even more control, down to the infantry selected? A few rounds of Grunts followed by Brute Chieftans for the final waves. Especially since it looks like skulls have been removed. But no changing the actual AI, no more than you could with Halo 3's skulls anyway.
Wait, if you can forge the firefight maps as well, set what enemies come at you etc, that would make one ****ING SWEET training. Also, in the vid, I saw green laser, bubble shield and mortar strike, ohh and elite armor lock!
The Green laser you saw comes from the mortar strike I think. One of the screen shots show this: IGN: Halo: Reach Screenshots (X360) 3239360
I doubt they will have full forging capabilities. I'm pretty sure it will only be minor forging (if any) like Pre-DLC stuff. Reason being that AI scripting would get obnoxious with custom built maps by forgers. It is hard enough to make intelligent AI as it is.
I don't think Bungie has said anything about custom maps in Firefight. They've only confirmed that Forge will be in the game for custom games, not Firefight. They only said that we'll be able to change the Firefight settings, not the maps themselves. Oh and about what I said before: There are skulls during Firefight. Plus 2 new maps with names. Beachhead and Waterfront. Along with Power House, Overlook, Sword Base and Boneyard, it seems like Bungie's for more descriptive map names (well, more descriptive than Guardian, Valhalla or Rat's Nest)
No, someone last night or from whatever official source definitely said there would be AI behavior customization to a certain degree. I'll try to find it. EDIT: here
All they said for the AI behavior customization is you can tell them to shoot or not. I'd also assume there might be a thing for aggressive or non aggressive but I doubt it's too extensive.
E3 2010: Halo Reach Stage Video Demo Video from GameVideos Around 3 minutes ish. It's essentially a brute shot I think but slower so I guess it fills the bruteshot's niche in the case of it not appearing in Reach. There are also pics and videos of brutes using the concussion rifle. I'm assuming this will affect things like accuracy. it was from a firefight demo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Byg2s_1-GH8 You can't see it in this video, but there are3 different types of hunters
Shootiness? LOL. I'm guessing aim? Those are some hardcore traits you modify. *Hands a bag full of kudos to Marcus Lehto*
