Invasion on Castle Siege Created by: xXI Crush lXx and DKLxIIEnergyII Recommended players: 8 – 16 Required Gametype: Invasion Ok guys! Me and Energy are back again with yet another stunning map that will literally blow your mind off (BEWARE). Ok onto the map: This time, me and Energy decided to go for something more original than our previous basketball map. We were playing this sort of “defend the base from the super maniac, blood-eating, teenage, mutant, ninja zombies”. It was OK, but the map was VERY CAMPABLE, and poorly forged. This is where our friend, Chocowaffles09, comes in. He suggested for us to make a good actual base. At first we didn’t think about it much, but then, after some sloppy brainstorming, we decided to go for assault on a castle map. We wanted it to be enjoyable for both teams, Attackers and Defenders, and honestly, after some creativity and design, I believe we accomplished it. Ok, so now let’s go onto the map. Weapon list: Defenders: BR x 3 Carbine x 2 Needler x 2 Brute shot x 1 Sniper x 1 : 1 Clip : 120 seconds Rocket Launcher x 1 : No clips : 120 seconds Turret x 1 : 90 seconds Spike Grenades x 4 Attackers: BR x 3 Needler x 1 Mauler x 1 Bubbleshield x 2 Gravity lift x1 SMG Dual x 1 Mongoose x 1 : 90 seconds Overview Inside the Castle Inside the Castle 2 Bomb plant point Middle Attackers base Woah DANM! That seems impenetrable! How the f___ are defenders supposed to get in there! Ok here’s where DESIGN and CREATIVITY come in. Let’s start with DESIGN: To allow defenders to enter the map, we added different entrances rather than the huge middle door. The first one, the rock climb The second one, the ladder that spawns 1 minute into the game The third one, is the mongoose-wall-glitch clearly shown by a custom power up. And the last one, is a gravity lift added into the game. This is located in one of the Bunker. Now, onto with CREATIVITY: Still after design, we realized that defenders would still have a great advantage. So we decided to give each team different traits. Defenders: Damage: 75% Weapons: Assault rifle/ Magnum No radar Color: Black Rest is Normal Attackers: Damage resistance: 110% Weapons: Assault rifle/ Magnum Shield recharge: 90% Normal Radar Color: White Rest is normal. You may be asking yourself, “BUT, BUT, THAT’S IMPAUSIBLE!!!”(Yes, I am aware impossible isn’t spelled that way). Well, me and Energy don’t know the meaning of the word “IMPOSSIBLE”(Someone mind telling me it’s meaning?). To make this happen we made attackers spawn in a small box in the sky-bubble. They would take the Custom Power up (almost impossible not to take it, after editing the box), and launch into battle through the teleporters. Before I end I would like to share this: That community, is what I and my friends call: The Impossible prowler quest. We spend HOURS trying to delete that prowler. To make a long story short: WE FAILED MISERABLY Ok so that was pretty much it! DOWNLOAD AND COMMENT! DOWNLOAD MAP DOWNLOAD GAMETYPE
Oh cool, this map looks awesome! Glad you used your thinker with adding more than one way to get in to the castle. It also seems like you spent a lot of time balancing the two teams gameplay wise so this should be oodles of fun when it finishes Dling. Also about your prowler problem, you could always overload the map with trip mines, or make a large tunnel and use bubble shields.
Thanks for the good review, and i am glad people are appealing to the idea, and the map itself. Each time i overloaded the map, the prowler would disappear! (ITS A DEMON!). Not enough objects for the tunnel. Never though about the bubble shields.
Jorgecb, you have a very unique map on your hands. Most castle maps tend to focus on poorly constructed vehicular combat, but you tried to break the mold and make a foot-only one. Your Custom Powerup idea was rather unique, and is one that I think I might use in future maps. I also have to applaud you for the multiple entrances, especially the Judgment-type Mongoose one. My only concern with the entrances is that the rock-climbing wall seemed almost impossible to climb at times. Congrats on the Map. Cheers, HarisSales.
Thanks haris for the great comment. And about the rock climb; i designed it so it is very simple to use. Not even crouch jumping is neccesary
