I not sold on the space battle scene either. It feels awkward and out of place. HOWEVER, Im not gonna ***** about hating it until I play it. I hated the jetpacks and thought they were out of place until i actually played with them and they fit fine.
I'm not bitching about the idea of space combat, I think it's great Bungie is trying new things and I'm sure it'll be fun. I just overthink things a lot and I just don't see how sabres would work when compared to Halo's canon. I'm not comparing it to reality either. Anyways, Reach will start on E3 in about 5 minutes. Here's a link if you need it.
Players might be able to respawn inside the sabre (if peeps are wonderin' how it would be entered into the game).
You can now heal your teammates, call in airstrikes, and pop a bubble shield with an armor ability. Hooray for Firefight in matchmaking!
Im in a rather good mood today. They wanna ***** and complain and argue, thats their choice. Half of them are like 12 anyways.
Just in case you missed any of the live interviews... Halo: Reach has been confirmed to have the Firefight mode from Halo: ODST Halo: Reach's Firefight mode is playable with up to 4-players co-op and features a Matchmaking mode A new weapon that is possibly only usable in Firefight calls in air support on the desired location A new armor ability has been introduced that pops out a bubble shield that is capable of stopping bullets and healing anyone within it The space battle introduced in the E3 2010 trailer lasts only one mission Campaign is playable with up to 4-players co-op The space battle works with up to 4-players as well Since the Beta's release, players can now move faster and jump higher than before More information may be released as the interviews progress, but only time will tell...
Serious? Vehicular Combat has to be one of Halo's strongest points. You're the first person I've ever heard say that they hate the Vehicular Combat in Halo.
If horror movies are any indication, IN SPACE is the sure sign of a franchise's having run out of ideas and just using gimmicks to draw some attention. Jason IN SPACE, Leprechaun IN SPACE, Hellraiser IN SPACE, and probably a dozen more. It is one of the surest signs of a company just milking a franchise for name recognition alone. Then again, Halo started IN SPACE so that probably doesn't apply and I'll just go back to my first criticism that people need to stfu about dogfights IN SPACE because the only difference really between that and every banshee mission ever is the IN SPACE part.
