So, here's an Illustrator drawing I just did of myself (I cheated by tracing an image, of course). You can't really tell that I'm pursing my lips and raising an eyebrow, but I think it turned out pretty well. My first attempt at anything in illustrator, so any tips/criticisms are more than welcome.
I'm sorry, but everything was fine until I saw the lips. There I just burst out laughing because it reminded me of some character I read in a manga. I'm pretty sure the ends of each side of the mouth line up with the pupils of the eye. Or wind up pretty close. It's Human Analogy.
He was eating a starburst at the moment, so what. Anyways, I love it. The shading, the inking, the coloring, everything looks flawless. Nice Job.
^_^ Anywho, nice rick. I can't really judge anything because I've never done anything in Illustrator, but it looks great.
Yeah, I was sort of going for the ol' Blue Steel/Le Tigre look in the original photo. Doesn't come across as obviously as I'd like in the vectors. Anyway, glad it looks mostly up to scratch. I'm surprised the colors turned out alright to those of you with normal eyes.
