Gophers on Your Lawn Created By: Ell3ment & Gunnergrunt Recommended Players: 4-16 Required Gametype: Gophers These guys again? Talk about a monopoly on minigames. But hey, what can we say, they produce some very high quality stuff. And thus, it is that we have Ell3ment and Gunnergrunt back with another one of their crazy creations. This time around it's some whack-a-spartan fun. Gophers on Your Lawn combines an arcade classic with the abilities of Halo 3's forge to create one cool game. Expertly forged, as any map from these two is, Gophers on Your Lawn is a special take on the infection gametype. One zombie gopher pokes his sniper equipped self up through an array of holes in your lawn. You and all your friends must try to whack this pesky gopher into submission. Humans who happen to fall in their pursuit of gopher domination will allow the return of a gopher brethren, who looks oddly similar to the fallen basher. Simple, yet often chaotic, Gophers is one minigame that must be played at least once. Download Your Lawn Download the Gophers Gametype Original FH Thread
lol download your lawn XD i thought this map was awesome and all my friends loved the controled chaos love it and hope you make more soon dude!!
i love it, however i cant find anyone else who does. most of the people i play it with didnt like it. add me up if you want to play customs like this.
Don't get me wrong, its pretty sweet. Looks pretty appealing, looks fun to play! But feature worthy? Sorry, but I disagree with it. I've seen plenty of maps feature worthy. Great job I guess?
I honestly think this is one of the most feature worthy map/gametypes on ForgeHub. Not only did they make a beautiful map, but they also made a gametype that goes with it. They thought outside of the box, outside of the traditional slayers and objectives, heck even outside of the casual gametypes as well. Gunner and Element made their own gametype and it's fun to play. Halo Customs are created to have fun with your friends and they both gave us yet another game to play when we have a party lined up. This is deffinitely a great job, I personally love the creativity of all Mini-Games over the repetitive Slayers.
Lots of features lately. Not saying it's a bad thing. Ok, I'll dl this. I must. Looks awesome as well. I thought of doing something like this a while ago, but I couldn't figure out how to.
Why i don't disagree that this is a pretty fun mini-game, i don't agree that it is feature worthy. There are so many maps here on forge hub, and I'm not trying to be mean when i say that some deserved this feature more than this map. I guess all I have left to say is congratulations Ell3ment and GunnerGrunt!!!
It's the mix of the tediousness of having to tap jump over and over mixed with the frustrtring challenge of trying to shoot people you only have a window of oppurtunity of 1 second at that people don't enjoy about this I think... idk I don't think this is feauture worthy. GJ nevertheless.
The only problem that I have is when I am a sniper. When I jump up, I occasionally die and the game tells me that I commit suicide. It might be from a rebounding bullet hitting me or something else... I commit suicide 4 times in one round on my first try... --- The only problem that I have is when I am a sniper. unfortunatly i must agree with the Pickle great map fun minigame but really i do not think it feature worthy. Dont get me wrong Gunnergrunt and Ellement can fart on a map and make it great but i just dont think this is feature worthy and there are a few other maps in the community that might deserve this feature more. But all negativity aside great job Ell3ment and Gunnergrunt
This is definitely the best completely new idea I've seen recently. I mean, seeing better versions or evolutions of past ideas is great, but this gets some points for being a completely new concept while at the same time being actually good. Better than some other unfeatured maps like Multicog and of course the best map anyone has ever made in the history of gaming that is called Genome? No. But it gets points for originality. Definitely deserving of the feature.
Kasey's Review. Hello, What a great Gametype and Map you guys have created. I'ved played it about five times with a full party! A well made map (Like all the other ones!)-and I rated a Great!5/5 At most scales! Keep Going with the Great ideas, GunnerGrunt And Ell3ment!
I agree, yet oddly enough my friends hate this. Like despise it. I dont really know why, they love snipes, but this ruined my reputation of bringing in good customs to play. They said it was stupid and pointless, and i am at a loss as to why.
After finally setting some time aside for customs, I played this game so many times i'm not even sure theres a number for it. Anyways onto what I thought. The aesthetics were amazing! Every inch of the playing field looked perfectly in sync. There was no Z-fighting with the grass in the center which I was pleasently suprised by, considering it can be hard to achieve that it can be especially difficult with tin cups. Your merging and forging in general was just perfect like always. The Gameplay was like no other game I have ever played. How you even thought of an idea like that is beyond me. When playing this game it seemed that everyone involved was just as happy being a 'gopher' or a human. This is what makes this an amazing mini-game, seeing as some games are one-sided to people (they only want to be a zombie, vice-versa). This mini-game is easily replayable, no doubt about it. This game just begs to be played all-night. There was one complaint I heard when playing though.. Some people thought it was a tad to difficult to hit the humans with the sniper. They thought they had too little time to hit them while jumping. Besides that this was truly spomething else and I absolutely can't wait to see more from you. 5/5 (If a non review team rating means anything).
This feature effectively demonstrates as long as you are popular in the forging community, you can immediately earn a pass for bias priority over everyone else. This map is a funhouse and that is all. There is no demonstration of superior forging and design; and the truth is, funhouse types of maps like this one have been recreated countless numbers of times. There is not a single characteristic of this map which is outstanding. All criticism aside, congratulations on your feature.
