I practically slid the 10g taper through my ear, then the 8g hurt a little. Now I'm at the start of the sixs. I don't understand why going to fast is bad though?

you need to let the skin regrow, the faster it goes the thinner your skin gets
Thin skin=not good


Id wait a week. especially if your doing this with metalics

 

And the stuff with metalics, do it with another material becuase the skin can start to grow into the metalics and its bad for your ear

I heard the opposite actually..

I was told by my Tattoo/Piercing Shop that you should use metal because it's not as porous as plastic..

 

Troof. Still trying to get Insane to bump me up to full Guardian ;P

As soon as you stop you can use what you metal. it still works with metal for stretching too, just plastic is better IMO

also if they mean its more durable that doesnt really matter that much

metal has less pores
