Shogun is a small FFA map that takes place in the center area of Longshore. Im still fiddling around with the weapon layout and tryibng to clean things up, but im definately looking for some feedback or ideas of things i could change. Ive played a good amount of games on it already (Team Slayer, FFA, Speedball, King of the Hill). The weapon layout as of right now is: 1x Energy Sword 2x Maulers (not in one location) 2x BR's 1x Brute Shot 1x SMG's (in one location) 3x Plasma Grenades 1x Flare 1x Regenerator 1x Overshield Here are the pictures: The first picture is an overlook of overshield spawn and the "dancefloor". The second picture is the walkway that leads you up to where the sword would normally spawn on Longshore. The forth picture is a view of the tactical jump that leads up to sword spawn.
This, essentially. I wouldn't change much in terms of layout, as it looks good as it is, but I feel as though you either need to remove the top column of boxes over the overshield, or extend it into the ceiling. I just feel (IMO) that it looks awkward. But, yeah, work on spawns as Meta said. I can't give too much advice in that department, since I myself am no spawn expert, but if you need help, you could probably ask one of the more experienced forgers on the site.
Alright, first off, yes there are some spawns that need to be worked on, but a lot of the spawns not pictured have worked pretty good some far, but i'll definately look into it. Secondly, regarding the boxes corvering the overshield, I have tried to stack them higher (with ghost merging, etc.) but they always just disapear. Thanks for the comments and i'll be sure to make the spawns more safe. --- As of right now, all spawns are working nicely except the spawns by overshield. Also, the man cannon hallway is recieving an upgrade and possibly a roof, if objects permit. I was also thinking about adding another area to the level, but wasn't sure, seeing as gameplay is pretty good already. Lastly, the tactical jump up to sword is being changed because we constantly found it to be bumpy and in most cases would mess up the jump. Thats what i'm working on as of right now, but im constantly getting games in to figure out what needs fixed. Within the next few days i may get a link and let everyone test it out, but i'm not sure. --- Ok, i'm pretty sure i have the map how i want it... for now anyways. The only thing i cant figure out for the completed post is how to get the map link done correctly. I have about 3 or 4 maps completely done at this point, so if anyone can run me through the correct way ro post that would be awesome.
