I like the controls, however, they dont respond appropriately. The rolls and evades were very... inconsistent. The flying is fine, but in halo 3, when i wanted to MOVE, i MOVED. Its just glitchy and delayed now. I doooooooo love the switching between the bomb and repeater.
I just think that the mongoose looks beast. Its alot more bulky like a proper quad. And you get a speedomitor
I was playing invasion last week and managed to steal the covenant Wraith. when I drove over to help defend the hills I was Plasma pistoled, grenaded 3 times, Rocketed, and lasered... By my own team. no joke. There should be some way to make the 'Friendly' waypoint a little more prominent for Retail, perhaps vehicle exclusive. I didn't have a mic, which was good. I would've ruined a few people's day.
Well, a few things. 1. Psyched about driving the Falcon in the final game. 2. I found that the Ghost made me nearly invincible while I was being hit with grenade after grenade. Same goes with the 'Hog: I was stuck in the tire, went flying, did a barrel roll, but landed perfectly with no damage to shields or health. 3. Banshee needs work. Trick pan-outs are cool, but could be improved. It also feels like a plastic toy, since whenever you just crash it into things it loses a wing. How does it fly without those, anyway? 4. Wraith + Scorpion are huge targets for grenade launcher spam. Same goes with Banshee. 5. To add to the waypoint thing, they definitely need to make them more prominent. The only person on my team that I could find in Invasion was my Fire-teammate.
Do not like. Vehicles were pretty balanced in H3, maybe a little underpowered due to splazers. Now they make everything overpowered for the short time which its alive? The wraith is worthless. Vehicle damage and damage resistance needs to go back to H3 levels.
Vehicles are fine, but now you have to go out of your way to take them down, you can't just carry on with your business like you did in Halo 3. If a scorpion is bothering you in Invasion, Camo behind it, and stick it.
Vehicles need a health bar and an armor buff. The visual ques aren't enough. It also may be the fact that one team gets two lasers, three rockets, and two sniper rifles, with grenade launchers, and armor lock though.
I wouldn't say you have to go out of your way to take a vehicle down, with a good driver maybe, but there are enough weapons and vehicle weaknesses that any knowledgeable person can easily bring down a vehicle. It just requires playing on those individual weaknesses which are completely new for Reach so most people don't know them yet. I have noticed that vehicles tend to have a short lifespan on the battlefield (unless of course I'm driving =)
I just have to say Bungie should really let me rip off a turret and attach it to the mongoose. It would be like a mini warthog with less attack radius seeing that it would only make sense if it had a 180 degree field of view. This would be fun and probaly not even that powerful just straight up fun
Warthogs and Falcons! I am stoked to see that in the new Red vs Blue clip for Halo: Reach, they show new warthog styles! I couldn't tell what the first one was (it looks sick though!), but the rocket one looks straight up beastly. Can't wait to mob it up. The Falcon is also probably one of the coolest things i've seen. It looks like it can carry maybe like, 5 people? Including the pilot? Stoked.
what about the different warthog turrets. i believe that i did see a rocket turret in the RvB new season trailer.
If you are talking about the bungie day video, that wasnt a new season trailer, and the rocket hog has been mentioned already
damn i need to pay attention. but those rocket turrets seem pretty awesome. can't wait for reach so i can blow people up.
Elephant wasn't confirmed in Reach and they are known as both the "Behemoth" and the "Leviathan" Also I could see the Forklift being used strategically. If you can actually get the fork prongs under something like a crate, you could carry them across maps and build a small and simple base as if you are playing forge in the middle of firefight.
very interesting idea. i could imagine that in a puzzle map, where you get to a room and have to build your way out with the forklift
Civilian vehicles are not in Forge World (maybe in some other maps but not likely. The elephant will probably be in Reach as they said it was "not forgeable" as they would have probably said it will not be in the game if it was not planned. There is still a possibility that it will be cut though
