I don't really get that, though I am watching it all in one go. I watched season 1-3 when it was on TV and stopped watching it but now I decided to buy all the seasons and watch it all in one go so it makes more sense. This is the first time I've seen season 4 and I'm about 4 eps in and WOW WHAT THE **** basically. Spoiler So far I've gathered that the island is in it's own time bubble. At first I thought it was 31 minutes difference with the rest of the world but it doesn't seem to be constant. It seems like it changes. When the helicopter flew off the island it took almost 2 days to take a 20 minute flight. So either i have some facts wrong or I dunno what... Anyway, that's what I'm up to. Desmond just fixed his time jumping problem. Season 4 just seems so different from the rest of the season, I was so confused at first. It's starting to make a little more sense but still insanely confusing. Anyway, back to it I suppose.

Expecting someone to be in complete check of their thoughts is akin to expecting someone to have complete check of their brain though. Can anyone control what memories they recall? It doesn't matter beyond the realm of social constructs.
