Now that the old PPC's gone, do we have a better chance of running the Shoutbox in the index again?

 

Not really. I don't think you guys realize how much strain that puts on our servers, which even without the shoutbox cost hundreds of dollars per a month.

However, I REALLY want to get IRC working or something.

 

It has to be on the website though. Having it separate just does not work.

 

Why not like a super Skype chat?

 

I'm good with Skype or IRC...but getting people to use it is the problem.

 

Like I said, it needs to be IN the site. Like the shoutbox. If it's separate, no one will bother.

 

Look at BT trying to get on the staffs goodside.

Which I highly doubt; the cost of running the servers can only increase as more demand comes in, and the only way to legitimately make extra cash would be more adds right? Nobody want's more adds, and you're pretty much out of space to put them without them being overly annoying.
