With the Blackhawks having the second seed in the playoffs, I just hope they will go all the way to the Stanley Cup.

Since the Wild didn't make the playoffs (big surprise) I'm rooting for the Washington Capitals, Ovechkin is such a beast, how can I not love him? Especially after they lost last year in the finals to the NHL's poster child Sidney Crosby.

Meh. The Crapitals are by far the favorites, and have been for months.

Blackhawks won last night 2-0 and they're playing again tomorrow, hopefully they'll keep it up and go on to round two, which I know they will most likely do.

Hoping the Caps choke because Ovie is a piece of ****. I almost cried when they won on Saturday in OT (my brithday :( ) and now they're up 2-1 in the series. However, they will likely choke because their team has no depth.

I would personally love to see the Bruins pull something off.

The Red Wings won last night, which means that I got tickets for Game 5 on Sunday for FREEEEEE :D. Oh, and it also ties up the series 2-2. Important game, yesterday was. Anyway, Sunday's game is going to be the pivotal one of the series and I can't wait to be there to watch Phoenix get crushed

So who do you guys think is going to the second round?

I personally think that these teams are going:

West: Hawks, Sharks, Coyotes, and Kings.
East: Flyers, Bruins, Penguins, and Canadiens.

Im probably gonna get bashed for this, but I'm a Penguins fan. I have close family up in Pittsburgh and they took me to a Pens game when I was little; 's when I first started following hockey. I'm not even that huge a fan of Crosby. I mean, don't get me wrong, I respect his talent as a player and was overjoyed when we picked him up but yeah, I'm not like his fanboy or anything. I'm a big fan of Fleury; met him in Pittsburgh once and he was amazing to talk to and a really cool guy.
I agree with everything there 'cept for the Hawks. Some say they look like the Pens two years ago but I still think there's the possibility that we'll need to wait another year to see postseason success out of these guys.

You best not be trollin' in this thread.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you didn't watch the Hawks/Preds game today, but I could be wrong. The Hawks were down one with one minute left in the 3rd period and Nashville still had four minutes left in their powerplay, we score with less than a minute left to tie the game, we go into overtime. After four minutes of holding of the Preds with one man down, Chicago takes out their goalie, gets the puck, scores, and wins the game.

So yeah, postseason success? Our young talent was selected for success, success that will be used when we go into round two.

Haha yeah I didn't watch that game. Probably shoulda checked the scores before I made that comment. Don't get me wrong, the Hawks are talented, but they're all pretty young and they have lots of room to make mistakes (you can't tell me 4-1 to the Preds was excusable).

Not to much into hockey but I watch all of the penguins playoff games since I'm about 30 minutes from pittsburgh. My friends are crazy about hockey and I'm finally learning the names of everyone. I like malkin the most but thats only because my friends say I look like him, especially my facial expression.

The Conference Semi-finals start tomorrow with the Shorks and Wings and the Hawks play their first game in a rematch from last year against the Canucks. I also posted the link to the entire schedule for the semi-finals in th op.

Well so far I've enjoyed this NHL postseason. Caps are gone, Pens still in, hell I can cheer for the Hawks until the Stanley Cup. Oh yeah, upon looking at the playoff standings, one team from all 8 seeds made it in to the semis. MIND****! 0.o

I think the Vancouver Canucks are going to win the Stanley Cup. Though they are down 2-1 right now, I think they are going to win the series. Also I think the Canadians will beat the Penguins. I think for the Semis its gonna be Sharks v Canucks and Canadians v Boston. For the Stanley Cup I think its going to be Canucks v Boston and Canucks win.

I know my predictions are terrible but you never know :)

Wings are choking but the calls they're getting are ridiculous. The refs have thrown 2 games already more or less.

The refs were terrible last game. One of the penalties at the end the guy was falling and then he touched him and they called a penalty. The wings probably would have been leading the series if those garbage calls were not called
