Definitely not an active download. You have to sit and watch and if you leave the screen the download stops. Kind of annoying, but I had 2 episodes of 24 on my DVR so I just flicked to that while it downloaded. No biggie....Took like 3 hours to download yesterday, my guess is today will be better.
3 hours? Ouch. Took me 15 minutes when I downloaded it... though that was before the launch. Still, that is ****ing forever. Invasion needs to happen. Like now.
Yes, my favorite part about Halo 2 & 3 matchmaking was BTB. I know that invasion is on a smaller scale than regular BTB, but it's better than playing Stockpile on Swordbase every other game. I'm also excited to demo the new vehicles, though I liked how they used to be linked to your health, as apposed to a separate health system. BTW, does anybody know if the load-outs in Invasion will have different weapons along with different armor abilities?
My download took like 45 minutes. Question: What else is going to be released on the beta that we don't have now?
It took me 25 minutes on monday at 3 Eastern time to download. IDK why and all my friends took about 3 hours. to a few posts above, there will be different weapons and as the game progresses even more come available.

Anyone play arena yet or is it even available? I can't play on weekends due to "low" grades. I played more and even though there is still grenade spam I can somehow stand it. Juggernaut is incredible on Powerhouse but total poop on Sword Base. I guess I played with total MLG pros on my first day.
does anybody know what that thing is that comes up on the bottom of you screen somethimes? its kinda like when you kill someone in mw2, and it has like a perfection medal on it and says something else. it seems that whenever it happens i get a ton of "commendation" credits.
Those are commendations, sorta like challenges in MW2. There's no numerical values assigned to them that any random player can view.
I have about the same, I think I have 1608. I like the slayer arena, just for the obvious reason that its only slayer and thats the way I like it. I really want Bungie to release Invasion, it looks like so much fun.
The halo 2 codes came out; traded it to my friend for pizza and slush tomorrow My arena rank is in the 1600's as well, though I wasn't playing yesterday. I knew that stockpile on powerhouse was incredibly one sided, but after playing for the first time today on blue team after being on red team every single game... wow. Lost 10-4
Not for me. I've played 20+ games of stockpile on Powerhouse, always on red side. Haven't lost a game yet. The ones MS promised they would send out for "loyal Halo 2 players". I just recently got mine, and I don't need it because I have my ODST disc so I gave it to my friend.
