A bit of both I suppose, but mostly the latter. For metagross The reason I do not choose the choice band,Is because i Do not like getting stuck in the same move for some power. (A 50% bonus i Believe.) But as for your move selection,It's really good, thats what i might do. The way I see it,dusknoir doesnt really need will-o-wisp,its only purpose in my eyes is the fact physical attacks do half damage. Otherwise,I agree with your choices. Yanmega,as i See,could possibly benifit from hypnosis-dreameater,as it give decent coverage, and restores health. I am not one for hidden power moves though.
That Metagross has gone above and beyond for me; yes choiced pokemon are a little annoying, but with the right prediction they do work. This thing's my assassin. Burn is the second best status condition to sleep, but with most competitive servers using the sleep clause, its hard to take advantage of that to full effect. The fact that Dusknoir's defenses are through the roof make it even more possible to come in a dish out the burns. Hypnosis-Dream Eater is viable and yes, Hidden Power is a pain to work with but it's always a viable option.
I know, prediction is a very important part,But i am playing against enemys in the battle tower, not against acual humans.
My battle tower team that got me a successful 70+ win streak was the following: Togekiss @ Razor Claw/Fang (whichever Razor item raises flinch rate I cant remember) Modest nature Thunder Wave Roost Aura Sphere Air Slash Standard Para-flinch Togekiss as a lead can pretty much flinch anything slower than it to death. Metagross @ Choice Band Adamant nature Bullet Punch Meteor Mash Earthquake Explosion Already explained how this set works. Tyranitar @ Life Orb Adamant nature (might switch to a Jolly natured TTar) Stone Edge Crunch Dragon Dance Earthquake (thinkin about trying Aqua Tail) Pretty much flat out physical power. Try and get him in to force a switch for a DDance and than at that point on this guy just goes to work and wails on people. Aqua Tail could provide better coverage so I might try that in the future. Not trying to drive that Metagross down your throat but that set has served me well; he's helped me get all the silver prints and almost all the gold prints in the Battle Frontier.
My friend traded me a Glaceon from Diamond and I'm going to be using it in place of Articuno once I level it up a bit more. Right now: lvl 52 @ Sea Incense/NeverMeltIce -Ice Beam -Water Pulse -Iron Tail -Bite At level 46, it's special attack was about 10 higher than my level 66 Crobat. Glaceon's a boss for special attack and defense. I need to replace Iron Tail and Bite with a stat raising move and another special move. Suggestions? ________________ On another note, I found this article to be very interesting.
Hows this team sound for Platinum? Disregard the levels because I'm using cheats, mainly because I'm bored, but heres my team : Bronzong Luxray Torterra Crobat Gastrodon HM Slave or something. Any ideas?
I was training my pokemon at mt. silver this morning and I found a shiny ponyta. I think im going to add it to my team just because it has blue flames, and when it eveolves into rapidash it will have black flames! woot!
well my metagross has a mild nature so i use psychic and shadow ball with meeor mash and hammer arm. i have to say hammer arm has proved VERY useful.
shiny rapidash is boss, its one of my favorites. i like to call it shadowfax and tell it to teach my other pokemon the meaning of speed. --- also, for my battle frontier team, should i go: 1. azelf, tyranitar, scizor 2. azelf, ttar, metagross 3. actually screw that list theres too many possible combos. what three party combination of azelf, ttar, scizor, metagross, breloom(spore/focus punch), lucario, salamence ILL POST FULL MOVESETS IF YOU NEED THEM AND THEYRE ALl max ev/iv good natured. sorry bout those caps
Glaceon can't learn Flash Cannon or Calm Mind. I looked through it's moveset and I was thinking about Shadow Ball and Double Team in place of Iron Tail and Bite. I don't have either of those TM's though and it would take a while to get them. Anybody willing to trade them?
Oh, sorry about it not learning those things. Why doesn't a special attack and defense based pokemon learn those two moves?
I actually had Shadow Ball so I went ahead and taught it that. I also taught it Hidden Power, which is Electric for Glaceon. I figured it might be good to have. Would you recommend keeping Hidden Power or getting Double Team from you? No idea. I have yet to find one of my good Pokemon that can learn Flash Cannon.
