ohh i see what ur saying, that there is more people online than games played. thats because in each game theres 8 people, so times it by 8 to get how many games each person has played. (Sorry if that doesnt make it sense, I didnt know how to word it)
Yeah but how many players are in each game? 8 right? On average. So 400,000 / 8 players = 50,000 games currently being played, and 300,000 games played total. Or so I would assume.
Bah ... I wanna have a blast in the 'Arena' playlist .. server is busy busy busy Also, it says in-game that there are only 180,000 players online ...
This will last an hour tops, then it will be "Players Online < No. Games Played" forever. A = average game length B = time duration C = average no. total players in games D = no. games played E = average no. people required for a game ((B / A) * (C / E) ) = D *more complicated than that.
I am, in fact, completely disgusted at how Roche, Shadow Viper and Commander Matt etc seem to be getting into games so easily, yet I've got the 'Server Not Available' message ...
I know what you mean, dawg. I reserved tonight as a work free evening since everyone else was getting the Beta today, only to be dumped out with that same message for about an hour. Still, most of that hour was taken up with a well timed delivery of Chinese, so it ain't all bad.
Have you noticed how long B.net takes to load with all the traffic. I don't if its just me but its take a lot longer than usual and I have fast internet. Edit: Oh right servers are failing, just read the bnet update.
Probably lagged up by loads of people attempting to rage post along the lines of: 'why is the beta taking so long to download/why aren't the playlists loading?!'
