    Looks like an anti-aircraft vehicle, maybe it will just appear in one level.

    YouTube - Halo Reach Beta - 1 Flag on Sword Base - Gameplay
    correct me if im wrong but at 5:52 in this video there seems to be a fence wall merged into that lift tunnel on swordbase...since bungie has never merged things into its maps before (sandbox foundry and variants of their other maps) does that mean that it could be a regular feature of forging (i know im reaching a bit just throwing it out there)

    Take a closer look at Foundry. Tons of stuff is merged on default. It's because Bungie doesn't use Forge to create their variants, they have computer tools so they can place anything wherever they want.

    Not only Foundry, all maps. Pretty much all objective items are merged slightly no matter what map.

    And its not a fence wall like the ones we know in H3. Its a bit different. And to be honest, an odd choice of material to use in that environment.


    That was a mod...

    I think it was a mod to show what was already in the game, but not present in the beta.

    Yea it looks like the top of a fence box, from foundry. Also in other videos that tunnel was not blocked off so maybe Bungie implemented some sort of tool that makes it easy to geomerge in Reach.

    Also im not sure if you know this or if its just a habit, but flag juggling or what ever its called, doesnt make you run any faster in Reach.

    anyone know if the emp from armor lock takes down friendly shields?

    The worst part is code bearers will have had practise, and a few hours head-start at the Arena.

    But you don't need to enter the arena right away.

    I haven't done any maths to work out if this is true or just psychological, but I still feel a difference when running flag on Reach if you juggle it. Plain pick up and drop juggling doesn't work, but if you jump and throw, you get enough distance between each touch to make it worth it, and if you do the quickest method of flag running which involves picking it up as you jump then chucking it before the apex of your jump arc, I'm pretty damn sure it's still worth it since the cooldown doesn't seem to kick in if you're mid-air.

    anyone know what time the beta for everyone launches, in GMT please.... or if you dont know in GMT just put it anyway

    That fencewall covering the air vent tunnel is only during one-flag, because the flag cap point is at the top of the lift... Its just like the door being shut on high ground. All other gametypes, the fence is gone, and the lift is accessible.

    late morning PDT which is GMT-8 I think. so I reckon we'll get it at 7pm -ish which kinda sucks :/
    ive got the whole day off due to bank holiday..

    Ill probably get the reach this afternoon when I get back from school...although I do have a job and study to do so Im not sure ill be playing today, or tomorrow or until like friday. :(

    i heard that its will start around 3pm GMT
    but ill be checking every hour.... i have GCSEs so i have to stay inside and study
