i think you can at the battle frontier move tutor. and orange i need to figure out my wfc code i guess
I got a shiny Solrock yesterday!!! Check it out, I took a pic... I just like shiny Solrock, they look bamf with that bright red center body.
lol I know... its the main thing I like in Pokemon is collecting Pokemon, so collecting shinies is epic. I don't battle much, though I do have a non-EV trained team. I do think I will make an EV trained one though... just not now. Right now Im obsessively shiny hunting and playing through SS a third time.
My Crobat knows Fly, Sludge Bomb, Dark Pulse, and Giga Drain. It's also holding Black Sludge (like leftovers but only works for Poison types) and it's pretty well-rounded.
I would rather use brave bird (breed with a staraptor) instead of Fly. U-turn is another possibility. I would change sludge bomb. Although it is a powerful move, poison attacks have poor type coverage. Roost is a possibility. You can also move tutor it heat wave, and give it a bit more type coverage. Pursuit is another move if you know your opponents will switch out a lot. EDIT: Btw, does anyone use a Ludicolo at all? I WILL have one on my team, I just can't decide what moveset to give it. Any suggestions?
I also like collecting Pokemon and I've decided I'd start collecting Shinies too. I haven't managed to get one through chaining yet and I don't really know any techniques of getting a shiny through hatching other than constantly breeding. I've only managed to get a chain of 29 on my Diamond so far. I'm positive I could've got a higher chain but it's just the stupid mistakes I keep making. Hell, last night I was chaining for a shiny Starly. I used the Pokeradar and went to one of the moving patches. I said to myself "it's going to break the chain" yet I still walk into it and end up getting a Bidoof. To be honest I'm surprised I've managed to be patient with it. I thought I would've thrown my DS a few times by now.
Yea its something that really takes a lot of patience to do. However, and this is if you don't mind the fact its sorta cheap, you can RNG abuse teh game for shinies. Basically, it involves using your SID, or Secret ID, which can only be found one of like, 3 ways. 1) Find a random encounter shiny, as in a shiny that appears in the wild and isnt chained or SRd for. 2) Catch 4-8 chained shinies 3) Use an AR to find your SID (I dont recommend=really cheap) then you have to DL a RNG reporter from a website like smogon or something, and then well, you have to watch videos on youtube to see how you do it, but if done correctly, you will get shinies easily. Ive done it to get about my last 4 shinies, and I dont really like it as it takes the excitement out of shiny hunting, but maybe you'd prefer that.
RNG Abuse is essentially the only way you can battle competitively now, without cheating. It actually is legit, since you are not glitching the game. However, it can be a bit tough to follow, so I suggest really reading the guides for it on smogon.
My team that I plan on using for the rest of everything: Typhlosion - lvl 66 (holding Charcoal) -Flamethrower -Eruption -Dig -Shadow Claw Ampharos - lvl 70 (holding Expert Belt) -Thunderbolt -Rock Climb -Signal Beam -Power Gem Articuno - lvl 66 (holding NeverMeltIce) -Ancientpower -Fly -Ice Beam -Water Pulse Crobat - lvl 65 (holding Black Sludge) -Sludge Bomb -Fly -Giga Drain -Dark Pulse Gyarados - lvl 67 (holding Mystic Water) -Surf -Ice Fang -Thunder -Dragon Pulse Dragonite - lvl 67 (holding Dragon Claw) -Surf -Outrage -Dragon Claw -Wing Attack I have a level 72 Ho-oh and a level 74 Mewtwo, but I'm trying not to use legendaries beside Articuno. Should I train my kind of powerful Sneasel, evolve it, and use it in place of Articuno?
I'm going to have a dragonair for sure on my super team, potentially the extremespeed one. Dragonite's double weakness to ice is far too much of a broken leg, and dragonair looks MUCH better anyway.
Except draganair's poor stats compared to dragonite's will be just as much, and even more, of a broken leg for you.
I watched a video on Youtube about RNG abuse. I'm not going to do it. It just doesn't seem as fun as chaining. I'll know I'll get a shiny Pokemon eventually I've just got the keep paying attention to the moving grass and make the right decision. After I catch that first shiny though, my collection begins.
