The Spartan lll's aren't as tank as ll's so they aren't as big. Plus they're younger I believe he's only 12 as well.
I don't think Bungie made it, did they? I'd say around the 10-12's. Considering that the Beta Company spartans were around I think 12 years old when they were on their mission where they were (almost) all killed. The thing I really disliked about the trailer was how short they interpreted the bio augmentation procedure. Honestly, I would have assumed that he'd be at least ridiculously tired/fatigued and have trouble walking afterwards.. :/
Carter is the only known Spartan who was taken after the age of 6. Carter was 11 when he was taken, which is the age most of the kids graduated as Spartan.
He means 16 days long, not 16 days away. True, I'd hoped for a little longer, but that still gives me 6 full days of uninterrupted play after my final coursework deadline. I'm happy enough, and who knows? They could well add a couple of days on to the end of that if they need a little more data on anything, it's my understanding that this happened with the H3 beta and it was extended by a week from the planned duration of two weeks. Though I sadly missed out on that part of Halo history, so I'm not sure.
I feel that's just a default date. They probably just had to stick an end date it. I feel what Bungie said still stands all the same.
I hope you're right, although in this light it could well be that the beta ends up being shorter than 16 days, back to the '2 weeks minimum' that Bungie talked about. As for customs, I agree it would be amazing, but you can see why they didn't put it in. The purpose of the beta is essentially to help them in making the game, thus anything surplus to that end could be considered a waste of resources and time (both when putting the beta together and the upkeep throughout its duration), and not really what the beta is for. Would have been sweet though, especially if offline customs were allowed and I could still play splitscreen customs once the beta had ended. I'd definitely put in insane amounts of time before the final release, even if it was only endless 1v1s.
Bungie won't be cutting it any shorter than 16. Itll either end then, or they will extend it by a couple (my guess). Barring disaster, of course.
I honestly hope they're erring on the side of caution with the end date predictions. It makes sense, since if everything goes to plan then they don't want to end it before original estimates (which would definitely be viewed as 'promises' by many), but things going exactly to plan is pretty rare in any circle. Here's hoping for a massive screw up at Bungie!
I'm pretty sure the schedule they provided only allowed for a few days of Arena, which is probably fine for testing the basic principle tbh. If what you're saying is true they must have known since the start that it'd need to be at least a month, so why would they have put such emphasis on a 2 week estimate from the off?
You actually study that much for AP tests? I'm actually in University and I didn't have that much work for finals lol Pretty positive Arena starts as normal. It's Invasion and Gen Defense that start later.
I knew that they were keeping each one once it had started, I just seemed to remember seeing that Arena was one of the later ones. But you're right, it's one of the may 3rd ones now I check. Still, I maintain that if they had a 4 week plan for Arena they wouldn't have been saying things in the range of 2 weeks. They'll probably just do a test season of 2 weeks/however long the beta ends up lasting. Also, I heard tell that the generator gametype is 3v3, but I haven't found anything to back that up. Is it true?
Do you remember where it was stated? It sounds pretty awesome then, me and my 2 friends own when running as a 3 in TS, it's only a pity there isn't a specific 3v3 symmetrical game. Though tbh I can see why, pretty niche.
