Actually I do have a latios... and its not charmander, as I evolved it into a Charizard to be on my main team. And @Orange... lol I told you, or someone atleast, SRing takes extreme patience and whatnot... shinin' aint easy.
They are all like that. My favorite include Typhlosion (Typhoon - Explosion. Badassery), Magcargo (Magma, Escargot) and Spoink (Spring - Oink. Best name ever)
hmmm. I never noticed that about there names, especially that ekans spelled backwards is snake. I never really take the time to realize.
Flying. I don't know why, but my team always ends up being a bunch of secondary flying type Pokemon. I am VERY close to catching Latios. Once I do, I don't really want it. Could I get the Ralts if it's male. If it isn't, could I have Piplup?
I think im gonna SR for a shiny Lugia once I get up to him in my SS. Meanwhile, my playthrough team right now is sorta ok... theyre a bit underleveled for where I am as im not trying much and am rushing through a bit, but I also went for a team Ive never really had... Shiny Quilava lvl 24 Sudowoodo lvl 22 Beedrill lvl 22 Slowpoke lvl 22 Dratini lvl 21 and I think Im adding either a Jolteon or something idk...

Mantines have some ridiculously high sp. defense (one of the many bulky water types out there) and the water-flying combo plus the affinity to ice type moves that all waters carry make a decently nice type-covering combo. You got tanked.

EDIT i just got a hasty-natured aerodactyl. this is a good day for my pokemon playing. he's going to be so insanely fast...
My team right now is: Porygon-Z -Thunderbolt -Ice Beam -Psychic -Signal Beam Magnezone -Thunderbolt -Flash Cannon -Thunder Wave -Magnet Rise Weaville -Night Slash -Slash -ideas? Crobat -Fly -Toxic -Poison Fang -Bite I don't know who to have for the other two, I was thinking Gastrodon and Salamence, but I'm not sure. Crobat also needs a better moveset. Suggestions?
Teach weavile an ice move. I'd pick ice fang if he can learn it or just teach him ice beam. and teach porygon z tri attack.
