Ouch dude. You gonna get it fixed really quickly in time for the beta? On the subject of age restriction, Hoping the Halo 2 loyal member email code (supposed to be sent by May 1st) will bypass that lol
Well they said the tag will be in 2-3 days... I probably won't play the Beta except at my friends house, but at least I'll get to play it lol
Yeah, I hope it's custom. I realized it was worded a little weird, but I didn't know how to say it exactly. 6 days until the Beta (it's super awesome)! I find Armor Lock probably the best out of the abilities. I'm not sure how well it will work when I use it, but it looks very helpful. If you're about to die, you can use it to maybe save you or waste some time for the game to end or for a teammate to help you.
i think the most useful one and most widely used by competitive players will be sprint. get yourself behind cover or out of a sticky situation. or get in that beatdown for the kill that much quicker when your shields go out. seems much more universally useful than the other spartan ones.
Nice find with the controller thing. Armor lock will probably be great for a temporary riot shield. Run out into heavy enemy fire, lock down and draw all the fire from the enemies. They might add an extended recharge time to it to prevent abuse though (probably a good thing).
Halo having a sprint ability is like the iPad. It's nothing new to the gaming/computer world but because of the brand/franchise it feels like the future!
Woot pre ordered Legendary Edition. The day that I wait for shipping will be hell though. Did I waste my money? absolutely. Am I proud of it? You bet! Also, It is all about Armor Lock and Jetpacks.
Idk, I actually kinda like the sound of that. Being more able to escape missiles than any other vehicle, and faster/more maneuverable for escaping lasers and whatnot than other vehicle, I think it's pretty damn powerful in H3. I'd also say that overall it's got the highest skill gap potential of any vehicle, and with being the hardest to kill as well I think it could do with toning down. Being able to fire off a fuel rod at the same time as constantly holding down the plasma cannons is a bit much if you ask me, and ends up being devestating when you find someone who's bothered to get good with it. I think this weapon switch idea sounds like a perfectly proportioned nerf. Yeah, good eye for detail on that one dude, brings up some interesting questions. Why they'd show us all but one is beyond me, it's just control schemes, information that makes sense to show as a whole, not like only showing us a couple of maps or something. Still, the evidence is pretty hard to argue with, and if they kept one back it makes sense that it's custom mapping. If it's preset, there's literally no reason to hold it back, but a custom option could be a nice surprise down the line (all of a week...). I just hope they implement that one suggested with an edited image. I hear it was Lies from MLG who made said image. I'll find and edit it in when I'm not on my iPhone, but basically it's: Jump on LB AA on RB Swap weapon/Reload on X Melee on B Change nade type on A Losing my BJ ninjaness with Melee back on B will be annoying, but it's the smallest compromise of the three (AA, Jump, Melee) for bumper space (and if you think I'm changing either of my click sticks, you're mad). Why they think having Melee on bumpers is more important than Jump with the new Default is beyond me. EDIT: here's that pic:
I'd use that layout. Tbh custom mapping could be unlikely. Only console game to do so on the 360 that I know of is Fallout 3. But then againits bungie, alot of games don't have things like theater or forge (instand replay or map editor) so a custom layout wouldn't be too far fetch.
Custom Layouts would be great, people could go back to the defaults of halo 3, or whatever game they play more.
I'm not too excited about arena since I don't play competitively that often. It's a nice feature though. I'm loving the feature where you describe what type of gamer you are and it matches you with others like you.
I like that layout. Bumper Jumper would have been useless for using equipment (cannot aim and hold X at the same time). I still might use Recon because that looks like it is difficult to shoot and use equipment at the same time (when jetpacking especially)
Just found this: Classic Slayer Round Time Limit: 12 minutes Maps: Powerhouse, Sword Base Score to Win: 25 Loadout Palette: Disabled Primary Weapon: Assault Rifle Secondary Weapon: Magnum Base Grenades: 2x Frags Base Initial Equipment: Base (Sprint)
Honestly, I can't see why. The two benfits of BJ are being able to look when jumping, and the same for melee. Out of the two, I consider jump BY FAR the more important. When I'm in a BR battle, I want to be able to jump without compromising my aim for even a split second. Also it just makes general map movement that bit more fluid. By comparison, split second opportune melees are nice, and I'll miss them, but they're not that important. The only thing it affects with any note for my is my pro ninjas, and again I'll take that hit over jump any day. As for Arena, I'm gonna take my record way too seriously and I know it. I just hope for my own sake that I'm automatically awesome at this game, hope with me guys.
