Thanks I might actually make this team a team for fighting as well. All I'd really change from it would be the last half, which I'd just look for cool pokemon with different type combos. Toxicroak would probably stay there, he'd just get destroyed if psychic was played. Kabutops perhaps? Ampharos is also an option
yea. I had to get my SID first, which I got when I caught the shiny Lotad, which counted as a random encounter pokemon. So because it counted as that I could calculate my SID and do some RNG abuse. Its annoying to do but also not too difficult, so idk if I like it as much as SRing and Chaining... but idc, because I just got a shiny Cyndaquil randomly and am playing through my SS with it. Tryin for a shiny team maybe...
Depends. Can take a few minutes, could take hours, days, weeks or even months. Its based on a random chance that 1/8192 pokemon is shiny. But that doesnt mean after 8192 SRs you definitely will get one, because your chances are the same each and every time. The most Ive ever done is 12000 for a shiny Beldum I never got. The fastest I got one is this cyndaquil, with probably around 600 SRs, unless you count the fact its like 3 SRs since theres 3 pokemon at once, so then its 1800... but idk. So really, its random. In general, most people will take a few thousand SRs to find their shiny... it takes a shitload of patience and determination, but trust me, that moment when you see the shiny appear on screen makes all those SRs disappear into bliss.
the only dragon type i really like is Kingdra, which also happens to be my favorite pokemon. i have a prized lvl 84 Kingdra with a brave nature that i've had since Ruby (19 total ribbons, won all contests in ruby and diamond lol), and i'm going to fix him up and make him worthy of being a competitive battler. i'll need lots of berries to fix his ****ed stats. EDIT: he's also in a luxury ball
Ugh... I hate this shiny cyndaquil. Absolutely one of the ugliest shinies there is imo... but I cant argue with getting a shiny lol... so imma keep it.
lol nah... Im playing through my new game of soulsilver with it. And I dont think I want to trade any shinies... unless theyre for other shinies or legendaries you cant get without an event or something like that.
No I have that Jirachi... I got it too. And the shiny pichu. But I dont really want to trade it, plus, im using it in my playthrough right now and i wont be done for a few days as I havent even gotten to the first gym yet.

Pretty fast actually compared to other shinies Ive SRd for... only around 600 SRs... whereas my shiny Mewtwo took around 6500 SRs and my shiny Rayquaza took about 4300 SRs. And then the shiny beldum that took 12000 SRs and I never got it. Until now, when I RNG abused for it.
RNG Abuse is when you take advantage of the way the game determines shininess to get a shiny with specific nature and what not in your game. Its pretty complicated, but you can look up information on Smogon and other places if you want. And yea an SR is when you restart, but you have to do it right. on a DS game like HG/SS, his L+R+Start+Select to Soft Reset. It resets the game to the game menu instead of having to turn on and off the DS each time, more damaging the battery or something.
