IGN is doing one and this site I never ****ing heard of (Check b.net for that one). I guess more will announce their doing the comp tomorrow, Bungie has obv give permish to give away spare codes.
haha i entered the comp that was advertised on Bungie.net, but then i realised immediately after when i had logged onto my really old email address that I have a BETA invitation already. It didn't particularly specify whether or not this was early, but it said you would get your code sent through nearer the time, so perhaps slightly earlier than most people, but not as early as "family & friends". The reason im so happy about this is i kinda lent my ODST disc to my bro who is at uni forgetting about the BETA, and I haven't been able to get i back yet . In addition to this, I got three months of xbox live and 400 microsoft points. I already knew about this coz i got a xbox live message about it, but i just found out about the free beta. And it's all from playing Halo 2 commonly in the past (Before Halo 3) and on its final day i think. I'm sure many other people already know about this, but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere. Here is the exact email in case you're wondering and i got it on the 15th April. Also gives reasons for closing down Original Xbox Games' Xbox Live. I italicised the bit that made me wonder if I would get the BETA early. and lol the person playing in the GiantBomb video or w/e its called is ****. As are most of the people in the other video's. EDIT: person above just mentioned it
Goddamnit. I hate the stupid 'Waiting to respawn (area not safe)' 'Waiting to respawn (teammate in combat)' crap. I wasn't really paying attention in the video, so I'm just wondering whether that only happens in Invasion or if it's universal across all gametypes? --- Plus, what do you guys think happens if you stick someone with a plasma but then they go into armor lock right away?
So, you can choose to spawn at a base or on a teammate? Or are there some modes where you can only spawn on a teammate? I'm still confused. Explain plox
I think it's only in certain modes. Basically the game assigns you a random team mate that you can use to spawn off of and be closer to the action on large maps. The basically ripped squads from Killzone2. As a matter of fact, there are a decent amount of things ripped from KZ2.
Armorlock is going to change everything. You can fire that rocket, but what if he has armor lock? And how long can you stay in armor lock?
Armor lock is basically temporary invulnerability. You can stay in armor lock for about 5 seconds max. If you charge it up the entire way, it will release an emp blast that destroys the shields of spartans and vehicles around you. You can cancel an armor lock before fully charging it.
