Not to mention the average age of gamers is something like 32. So school tests only effect a small portion of the group of people that will play the beta. Even though whiny little voices seem to come through more than anything else >_>
I actually thought Bungie was going to have Reach's beta around the same time Halo 3's was, which it was in the early summer. I personally think that's the best possible time to have it, for the most part all schools are off and that gives all of the people in school all the time in the world to play it. I know I'll be busy all the weekends that you can possibly play it, so it will probably suck that I will miss out then? And no responded to my last question, does it start for sure on May 3rd?
It will for sure most likely start on May 3rd? Bungie might have to delay it at the last minute for whatever reason like the H3 Beta, but otherwise, yes it will start on May 3rd. Grab Bag – May 3 FFA – May 3 Arena - May 3 Invasion - May 7 Network Test 1/Generator Defense - May 14 Really hope they don't have to delay last minute though
Old news, but still good news. I noticed how quickly all the AAs regenerate, seems Bungie really wants the players to use them. Also, when hurt by a nade, there's a slight stun effect, like you cant really move at full speed.
1up dropped a ton of videos today. They look to be fuller versions of what the vidocs were cut from. Generator defense on Overlook Invasion on Boneyard Stockpile on Swordbase 2v2 Slayer on Powerhouse SWAT on Swordbase Armory menus Invasion Slayer on Boneyard Swordbase is my favorite. Looks amazing.
It seems like the foodsteps are louder than in Halo 3, hopefully loud enough to acutally hear them when playing with a headset. I haven't really followed Reach so far, is there any Information about the Elites? Are they only playable in the Spartans vs. Elites Gametypes and every other Gametype is like, Spartans Only or something?
That's correct. At least for the beta. Perhaps in the final they'd have elites vs elites, but I doubt we'll ever see a mixed team.
Theres a kind of shellshock effect in the last video, when a grenade does like 2/3 shield damage on a guy. Also flag meles look pro in 3rd person. And gravity seems weaker on rag dolls.
All footage shown today was awesome as long as you muted them. Except for Luke's commentary, which was hilarious.
