As I previously posted, I have begun chaining to get a Shiny Pokemon. I've come to notice that I'm pretty clueless on the subject of chaining. I've tried reading what it says on Serebii.net and I still don't understand it. That's why I'm asking my questions here. Question 1: I've noticed that several sections of grass move when I use the PokeRadar. Is there a certain spot I must go to to continue the chain? Question 2: I also notice than some grass gives off something when it shakes. Does this have any difference to the grass that doesn't? Now that I think of it any explanation on Chaining may help.
HEEEEY all you wacky 4chub pokemon lovers! Long time no see eh? Sorry I had a bit of a busy week with getting stuff ready for prom, which isn't even for another couple of weeks, go figure, and enjoying time with friends yadda yadda. Anyways, sorry I haven't posted on here in a while. But I'm back now lol. 1:Try and always go to the central most moving spot in the area you're in. That way you keep the most opportunities to continue the chain. 2: The only spot you need to worry about is when a patch flashes with stars or something like that (I forget, I haven't chained in a while, but you'll notice it when you see it). That's the guaranteed shiny pokemon.
That's correct. You can also get the Hoenn starters from Steven Stone aswell. So I still haven't managed to successfully chain yet. I managed to get up to a chain of 29 Starly's and the chain managed to break with a starly. That happened like another four times later on aswell. What the ****?
Chaining takes a lot of practice and luck. I spent days trying and trying and only getting to like, 8. Then all of a sudden within the last couple days I figured it out I guess idk... Im doing nothing different but suddenly Im doing well and getting shinies... Which reminds me, today, I was chaining Lotad, and on the 15th chain I walked into a regular patch and it was shiny... I was like lolWUT. But I wasnt going to argue with it lol, a free shiny Lotad is always nice. XD Now I'm chaining Spoink as I really want a shiny Piggy. XD
How are you supposed to get the full national pokedex? I want the pokeradar but i cant find a monferno
If you have fought every single trainer in the game, you should have seen all the pokemon required for the national dex. To complete the national dex... you'll need a lot of time. I am personally at I think almost 400 for hte nat dex. Just another 400 to go lol... EDIT: Wait... which game are you talking about? Cause I was referring to Platinum lol...
Im talking about seeing all the pokemon in platinum. Ugh... i really do not wanna fight every trainer.
Lol yea... though of course, with Black and White coming out, that number will climb to probably around 600 or 610 or something... so if theres another gen after that, we could just have 800 0.o
OMG just the thought of that is crazy. But its definately gonna happen. And when I'm thirty, I'll break out my gameboy pocket and red version and all the kids will be like, what is that.
