I wish we had fully customizable setups.

    I'm glad theyr not actually.

DMR is matched with Sprint for a reason. If you could put DMR with Jetpack all the time, you'd rape.

Do you guys realize that this is just for the beta and anything could change. They may have customizable control schemes that just didn't make the beta and could have others that they created that aren't making the beta. Chill.

Completely agreed. I hated the idea of loadouts until I heard it was more similar to a class-based system. Now I'm much happier with it, I think it won't be a MW2 "get the best setup and rack up kills", but a game where you can make really deep strategies. Just think about it, you're playing 5v5 say, and trying to assault a base like High Ground. You could have a couple of guys with jetpacks go over the wall, try to get to the switch, but for the most part be a distraction. You could have shotgun or camo or sprint guys move to the bunker while the other team is distracted and make their way to the flag. You could have another guy mopping up kills with a DMR. Overall, the game just sounds so much more deep in terms of possible strategies. To me, Reach sounds like one of those games that, to use a reference from somewhere I don't remember, adults tend to love. There's more to do with team strategies than player skill, akin to Left 4 Dead over a game like Modern Warfare.

    If I could,

    -LT = zoom
    -RT = fire
    -LB = jump
    -RB = melee
    -L3 = equipment (AA)
    -R3 = crouch
    -Left thumbstick = move
    -Right thumbstick = aim
    -A = grenade
    -B = switch grenade
    -X = reload
    -Y = switch weapon
    -D-pad = team chat shaz.

If we sent an angry (or well thought out) letter to Bungie, would they hear our complaints and change the game so you can customize your controller?

Extremely old. Confirmed in so many videos (Multiplayer trailer analysis) that there are set callouts that appear in your HUD. It is assumed that you can customize these callouts via forge by placing a KOTH type node and customizing the callout to your likings. It is NOT an invisible trigger.

Fallout games have completely customizable button layouts, so I don't think it'd be too difficult for Bungie to implement. Of course, there may be exploits to complete customization, and obviously you cant move with LT and RT, so there'd have to be certain limits.

    So I made this:
    Beta Timer

I know how easy this was but I got bored and decided to make a timer. I'm also psyched about the flaming helmet. I have to go reserve that now!

Why did bungie decide to have an ingame perk for those with extra money... couldn't they have done another preorder perk...

I'm sorry, I didn't know you worked for bungie. Nothing like this has been confirmed, only assumed. Thank you very much :)

B3NW, hes saying the callouts are old, which has been known for some time.

Are you talking about the flaming helmet or elite armor? Neither of those are "perks". They're purely cosmetic and do nothing to improve your game. I hope they do a pre-order thing though, hopefully some armor.

Btw, Urk says that if you activate your active camo with the flames on, they will become invisible too.

    Indeed.

    @ rifte
by perk I wasn't referencing the CoD type of 'perk' but more of the actual definition of a perk which is a bonus feature, like Sargeant Johnson in ODST

    define:perk - Google Search

Perk doesn't have to be something that changes your game at all, that idea came simply from CoD. Golden Guns in gears were a perk, flaming helmet in Halo 3 was a perk of being a bungie employee, my red name is a perk of being Forge Hub staff. Doesn't have to be game changing, just as the definition says a "fringe benefit" for those who spend more money.

However, I do think it's rather stupid. It doesn't make you overly separate from anyone else who has money to buy it. I, for one, will buy legendary simply for the Nobel team collectibles and because I regretted not buy H3's.

Ah, okay. Well I think the reason is to give people more of a reason for spending an extra 90$

Oh yes, definitely. There is no reason to take something like this out of legendary if it can be placed in. However, I am sure they've devised a new flaming helmet aspect for themselves, as well as a new recon for the community. If they didn't, I'll be pretty upset.
