So wait, if I had the Sprint AA does that mean I'd have to Press and hold X to sprint if I were using Bumper Jumper...? if so, that's ****ed up... I want to be able to make sprint the left stick click...
That's ****ing lame... Hopefully this'll be out by then, and I can make one of the bumpers as the equipment button. --- HEAVY IMAGE WARNING
Which button layout are you guys gonna use. The list is in the latest B.net update. Im probably gonna use Recon layout because it is most like the default halo 3 layout now (and thats all im used to).
Im kinda mad at the options for control layout. I recently switched to Bumper Jumper on Halo 3 so I could jump and aim at the same time for better BR fights. After getting the hang of it, The Reach Bumper Jumper makes it bad because aiming will be difficult while holding X for an armor ability. I gotta switch back to Default or playing Reach will be hard...
Thank god for the Recon setup. But I might use one more similar to the BFBC2 for the beta, which is either default or green thumb...
Bumper Jumper with most AA wont be that bad. You don't need to aim with Armor Lock, possibly sprint, Camo, Evade. Jetpack is what it affects the most and if you use jetpack I doubt you really need BJumper.
For bumper jumper, use the side of your index finger to hit the buttons and you're all set. That's what I'll be using.
I just wish they would give us a fully customizable controller scheme. It seems like something that could really improve the game without requiring too much effort on the part of Bungie.
This^ I was looking through the control schemes, flicking through them looking for this. Why the **** isn't it there?? Thought I think the brackets should be around the other way. Jump on LB so I can fire while jumping around, I don't need to fire while sprinting, can't anyway. It wouldn't be good for Jetpacks, but **** Jetpacks.
Armor Lock: Lose the ability to spin the camera while in 3rd person (yeh, you CAN do that, and it will be extremely handy to have that kind of context before you pop out of it) Sprint: Lose the ability to turn Jetpack: Lose the ability to turn and aim Camo/Evade: No loss Recon is where its at.
I wonder what the **** they were thinking with these control schemes? I mean it seems to me to make more sense to have the AA on one of the control stick clicks for pretty much all the AA's...
OHHHH ****! Watch that needler video. Look bottom left. It doesn't have a location untill he walks into the room. It then has an exact room location on the map. AKA, the door had an invisible trigger. Maybe they are gonna have triggers in forge! FUUUU! Edit: Also with all the comments about controller setup, we shoul have a poll on Bungie for a new controller layout. But we should discuss it here first.
Nah, I reckon there should just be a feature where you can create a custom button layout. That would be way better.
I want to click left thumbstick for AA. It would best for sprint, evade, armour lock and shaz. Maybe not jetpack, but it might. I'd be happy for some other button to be crouch.
