I need to get into the habit of writing more often. So, give me a topic and I'll write a story/poem about it. A few rules and guidelines (which will probably get updated): It can be about anything, outlandish or sensible. Though the former category may be a bit tougher to write if it gets very specific (Dinosaur ninjas fighting asteroids, for example) and as such, I prefer the latter. Use common sense. Morally objectionable material or extremely offensive topics/situations need not be sent. If you have a genre/format preference, state it. I can't guarantee I'll write accordingly, as some are harder to use than others. Matty and Whisper, GTFO you trolls. Be patient. I'll try to write one story a day, possibly more depending on how bored/occupied I am. Once they're done, I'll post them in this thread and link to each story in the OP. If this dies, so be it. I'll just move it to OT in that case. Anywho, ideas?
I don't really have a suggestion, but I do have a link for you Seventh Sanctum - Writing I use those sometimes for ideas...
Personally id love to see a short based story about an apocalypse that raged the US (or another nation like the UK) and maybe it could be in a form of a journal format? If not id love to see what you come up with for some love poetry
whoa interesting. thanks. I have one outlined that has the US as a post-apocaylptic fiefdom run by doctors and whatnot. Basically, the middle ages in a land where technology once ruled. Good or what exactly did you mean? Love poetry is a tough one, I usually do the darker/satirical ends of it as opposed to actual expression of it. I guess I'll have to wait until some girl really catches my attention. Actually wanted to do one in machinima form, as you well know, but I guess a story could do. Rofl...okay. In what way?
I'd also like to see something apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic. Also modern. But don't do a happy ending. I hate happy endings.
I like the idea its something new, something id read for sure And yeah If you couldn't do it then thats fine, really you have to be there and have great inspiration to write love poetry. To add onto the internet idea too, maybe something to do with a virus the riddles the government and all become anarchist? Or maybe just an article about what a futuristic will look like when there would be no internet?
I could do a machinima for it And in whatever way you want. I'm sure you've got a few ideas for small stories or poems about idiots on the web.
Virus on the internet. Somehow harms all machinery even slightly connected. Dams burst, oil fields catch fire, no internet or communications, looters, radiers, apocalyptic scenes. Something to do with a moral about not relying completely on technology. That'd combine alot of those.
Been Done. Summer Wars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Man, I need to get out more. I was thinking about keeping this story to myself, but... No, this it's not meant to be some weird sci-fi ****. Or Supernatural. Or anything you would see of the like.
Something steampunk involving flying contraptions, undersea flotillas, and quirky yet lovable characters.
Pedophilia. 2012. 4/20. Write about yourself. Write about one of your friends. Write about someone on FH. the cesspool that is /b/. I dunno. those are some suggestions.
1. That doesn't sound at all like steampunk. 2. Who cares if someone else has done it? In this day and age, someone has done pretty much everything.
Write about Forging, and express your ideas in a journal format like your trying to write about it then go back to read it for insporation later. Sounds cool to me, wbu?
Done before I actually don't know about that one. A story of Sarges life. I really, really don't think we need that. Same thing to the one before. We know boring people make boring friends. I think DQ's life might be the most dramatic. Promoted>promoted>demoted>job change>promoted>etc. He's done a lot. I'm not sure about this one. Depends on his writing style I guess. 1. Sure, might not be steampunk, but the "cute" characters, Abstract machines, and underwater flotillas are there. Adding steampunk would make it a copy-cat. 2. Wrong, you just have no imagination.
