Does bungie have a grudge toward the College Board or AP classes?
May 3rd is the first day of AP testing. I ahve APUS on the 7th and AP CHEM on the 11th.

I believe they said it will be around the same time as the Halo 3 beta.

But my heart tells me they'll make it last a month. ...That way, they'll have a full season of Arena games to study, at least.

I hope Bungie doesn't release Reach at a really-late fall date. Like Nov 28th or something.

I hope they for some reason extend it into july. a two month period would be great, but It wont happen, because it would cause the game to likely ship later. one can dream though.....

You can't really study for those though. I mean, its either you learned it during the year or you don't really know it.

Anyway, I can't wait long for this. Its becoming an obsession for me. I'm looking forward to halo 2 territories. Oh yes.

Its not as bad as you think.
The Reach Beta will require a download - a very long download of a big file - which won't be available until 3rd May, no Steam-like pre-loading.

So most of you who are doing stuff on that day, start the download in the morning and it'll be a nice gift when you get home!

Is it just me or do all the new Halo Reach weapons look like taller version of what we currently have in Halo3.
Like they've been stretched taller, DMR is quite obviously a taller version of the BR.
The AR has gotten a height adjustment, making it taller as well.

    What's going on here?
Also, why do all the weapons like like they have some kind of Steam-punk inspiration? I think it's great, but whaaa? xD

Bungie said that they managed to code Reach to allow for 4x polygons! so I guess that they used those extra polygons to increase a lot of the detail on the weapons. and as for weapons getting taller, I didn't notice that...

So taller as in more height right? I don't think it really matters personally, and I honestly don't see a difference in "weapon height"

Also, does anyone else think that the blue spartan in this pic looks more... feminine? Or is it just me?

The blue spartan just looks more feminine IMO. Like, not so bulky as the red spartan I suppose :/

I think its just the pose and the Blue Grey Background that make the Blue spartan look slimmer.

I remember Bungie saying something about when you get hit, your body will twitch or flinch like it was actually getting shot at. He's getting shot in the back, and getting 'pushed' forward. That's probably what your seeing, Rifte.

I saw a thread about female models. perhaps?

Also did you notice that the jetpack was orange?

I think it looks more feminine. it's already been confirmed that you can play as either male/female, I think it would be cool of bungie to take it as far as changing the playetr model slightly.

also, the jetpack is definetly not orange. that's just the light from the shields failing or the bullets.

i doubt they will have female models. this is a competitive game, so they cant change size. and reskinning a spartan would be retarded.

On one side, femanine stances are misleading. Using the right colours and stances you could make a spartan look female in Halo 1, 2 and 3 (Pink colour, Mark v helmet, femanine pose etc).

On the other side, in Halo 3 you could set male / female, and the reskinning would not be hard, just a change of proportions. The hitboxes could be indentical so it would make no difference.

I feel that it's just a misleading photo though, he looks very poncy.

Nah, it's none of the things you guys said. It looks feminine because it has no shoulderpads. Shoulderpads have been used to emphasize masculinity in fashion for centuries, so seeing an unknown gender with them next to an unknown gender without them causes your brain to assume one is a man and one is a woman.
