Here's a recap of the video with some images and maybe some more info on the medals.

In many of the images you can see the "team-mate waiting to respawn notification". Also in the bottom left corner near the radar you can see the location notifier. In each map, when you move to a different section, this will tell you what area you are in. Excellent for call-outs to team mates. No longer do we have to come up with names for areas.

The new Sniper and Loadout unlocking.
I think the human weapons are looking more "Steampunk" in Reach,
    than any other Halo game.

The beefier Plasma Rifle. Probably looking beefier because of the lack of dual wielding.
Makes it feel more capable of taking down an enemy.

New medal, which I believe is the Revenge Medal

Medals in Reach looking very dirty

    New medal
I think this will be awarded for killing someone that is airborne.
Perhaps just for killing someone with a Jetpack.
The medal comes up with the word "Pull!", which is used when shooting down clay pigeons.

Shiny new Needler, looking very "bug-like"

    An assist Medal
    [IMG]

I'm not sure what this Elite is dropping when he dies. Does anyone know?
    [The ball]

A new Medal, called "First Strike!"
Perhaps awarded for the First Kill, much like Modern Warfare 2.
As you can see there is only 1 point/kill on the scoreboard.

Frag grenades now have a shiny trail. Interesting.

    Watch it in SD.

Also to clarify, the video itself is 21 minutes, not the interview with Bungie. Title is misleading. It just has new footage TBH, nothing new that we didnt know before.

I just love seeing the new footage, true pretty much everything in the video is stuff we already know. It's good to see some new footage though, and some clarification on a few things.

I've finished downloading and i'm about 9 minutes in.

There's no equipment in Reach, and the Beta will last "as short as possible"

Assassins in the 3 second cutscene can be killed, thereby saving teammates.

No equipment was verified months ago.
No dual wielding, also verified months ago.

And about the short as possible thing, as expected.
I mean it's free after all.
I will hazard a guess at about 4-6 weeks. I believe the Halo 3 beta was 6 weeks long. It was also extended to be longer than originally intended.

Nice summary, but I think the co-op respawn wasn't correct. I think it was just a case of there was an enemy within range of the spawnpoint closest to his teammate. So not BFBC style, just the spawnpoint closest, if theres an enemy within range then they must be killed to let your teamate spawn there.

I may have to watch again, but I thought "Respawn co-op style" was in Bungie's actual words. I didn't watch thoroughly though, just picked out points of intrest, so I may have misheard.

Pretty sure the co-op respawning is similar to the BC2 respawn mechanics. Thought, not certain.

The elites jet pack looks so epic and so does there assassination move. I also like how you can spawn near your teammates now or at certain places on the map. This is going to be so great and invasion is so cool. I really like that in invasion on boneyard the map opens up as you progress through the game. God I want to play as an elite so bad now. I do fined it a little weird now how the medals are darker but they are also really cool.

This made you want to play Elites more?
This make me hate Elites even more >_>

I honestly think that making Elites a playable character online in Halo 2 was the worst thing that happened to the Halo Franchise...
    Oh well... >_>

Pretty sure you're right. I'm also pretty sure I saw a similar 'team mate waiting to respawn' message as in Co-Op when the player on screen was fighting in a Ghost.

I dunno about BC2, haven't played it, but if it's like 1943 then this sounds slightly different in that you can't respawn on a team mate currently in combat. In that sense, it's exactly 'Co-Op style'.

I remember a while back, there was some confusion about rolling in first person or third person. Watch at 2:22 the Elite rolls (I'm pretty sure that's what he's doing) and stays in first person all while keeping his sights somewhat trained on the Spartan.

Overall good video, lots of confirming stuff and it was worth the watch.

Okay, im fine with loadouts so long as you get to pick up weapons, not classes aka BF2, the co op spawning just seems dumb, bf2 is total bs cause of that i mean how many times have we got shot at spawn in that game cause our team mates were 2 close to enemies. Same will happen with this, i can foresee someone spawning into a sword lunge or shotgun. Idk i'll see in may how it all pans out, i just hope its not too cod/bf2

Except it works like campaign, you can only spawn near a team mate if there are no enemies around.
