Ok i might buy this one Its a ASUS Brand GT 325 1GB Graphics is this good? 500 GB Hard Drive 4 GB DDR - RAM is this good? 16 Inch Screen which is pretty nice Would this laptop be able to play some games like Crysis?
Look up performance specs on the graphics card, people will have tested it on Crysis. Also, do you have information on the processor? 500GB Ram is more than you'll ever need, and if you have the option i'd consider downgrading to save some cash. Any information on the screen? Mine is OLED, which uses barely any of my battery, has excellend whites and is super thin (although flimsy). And how much is this?
Graphics card - Notebookcheck: NVIDIA GeForce GT 325M - Crysis is playable but only on a low quality. Hardrive - 500 GB is plenty, I have a 500 GB external hardrive and i've had that years and i've nowhere near filled it. 4GB DDR - DDR1 or 2? If it's 3 then thats fine, also the same with 2. DDR1 isn't great but it's 4GB so its fine. 16 inch - Inch smaller than largest macbook pro. Whats the laptop price? You may be able to get a better deal.
If you want to play games you shouldn't buy a laptop, they're not made for that. You should buy a desktop, because you can build one or upgrade it for gaming. It's your choice though.
Alienware is a total rip off. I'd rather get a top of the range Dell Xps. They look badass and youd get better specs for a cheaper price. Or get a Sony. Or a Macbook.
If your going to be buying a gaming computer (laptop/desktop) I would suggest going with a desktop even if you like the allure of a portable gaming laptop. Reason being, gaming laptops which can handle games like Cyrsis are extremely inconvenient, because they get super hot, are enormous, and are not really portable, because if you unplug it, you have maybe 30 minutes to plug the power back in before it dies. Buying a gaming laptop is silly when desktops, although stationary will be better at handling everything and to boot, the components cost less. If you want a nice little hot plate for diner buy a laptop, but if you want to do serious gaming, buy a desktop. Now if you don't mind, I'll be playing SC2.
I agree. I bought my laptop for music, and although i can play Crysis on it on high detail on a £700 laptop, i don't see the need. Besides, Crysis is pretty ****. I just like the ability to take it downstairs and plug it into some nice speakers for parties. That's life.
