Ironic you would ask that because I taught my venasaur synthesis, solarbeam, sunny day and sludge bomb and that works wonders for what level he is at. It should work with chikorita as well.
Was Ho-oh really easy to catch for any of you? (SS) I caught him on like my 10th Ultra Ball. I still have my Master Ball. My legendaries now: Ho-oh Lugia Articuno Zapdos Moltres
Completely agree. I find Electivire looks like a total badass behind you, as does a shiny Charizard. XD
I don't know why but every Pokemon that flies when they're out with you I find to be awesome. I beat Red last night. I lost to him the first time because I made one mistake, second time around I managed to beat him. I got a Squirtle off of Prof.Oak and I got a Torchic off of Steven Stone. Now I think I'm gonna catch Entei and Raikou and then go catch the three legendary birds.
My Persian (female) knowss: -Toxic -Double Team -Protect -Attract Kyogre knows: -Thunder -Ice Beam -Sheer Cold -Surf
For Murkrow/Honchkrow, you could also have him hold a razor claw and get crits up the wazoo if you wanna try your luck. For the Gengar set you're running I'd replace Dark Pulse and Curse with Substitute and Focus Blast and have him hold a Leftovers. Sub is a great move to give Gengar an extra life on a switch and gets rid of the fear of paralysis, which spells death for him. Shadow Ball + Focus Blast = solid coverage on most pokemon. Hypnosis is good for putting a potential threat on a switch in to sleep. Or you could go for a complete special powerhouse and rock this set: T-bolt, Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, and Explosion to go out on anything that scares ya. For Poliwrath if you wanna keep Dynamic Punch, then add Mind Reader and replace Ice Beam for Blizzard and have him hold Leftovers (a bulky water's best friend). I've never really used Chikorita/Bayleef/Meganium much so I don't have much advice on what to do with him, but he'll be walled entirely by flying types with your planned set. Shiny Metagross, shiny Arceus, and Togekiss look beastly too. I don't really know any solid strategies for Persian but I do know you wanna get rid of Sheer Cold. Have Kyogre learn Water Spout instead and have it hold Choice Specs. You now have access to the single most powerful water move in the game.
Does anyone know why you can't ask for a Persian when you decide what Pokemon you want to trade yours for? It's the same for legendaries too. Can't try to get Arceus, Darkrai, Celebi, Jirachi and the others. Is there a reason for this?
beat that, first fight, second pokeball. (it was a dusk ball, since it was night) thats even better than lugia, whom i got on my first battle seventh pokeball. The only ledgendary ive had a decently hard time with is mewtwo, whom it took two fights.
i got my first hall of fame to be EXACTLY how i wanted it. my four man team WITH a chikorita. i ****ed up in the battle with lance, i used surf instead of ice beam at one point because i barely needed to hit one of his 10 million dragonites, sliver of HP left... you know what that means... "LANCE USED A FULL RESTORE" "FFFFUUUUUU" but as for updates, i ran to the pokeathlon to get a dusk stone. i now have a honchkrow . now evolving chikorita (finally). then move tutoring and such, then its off to kanto to party. EDIT: now im ****ing pissed. i cant tutor my honchkrow to learn sucker punch?!!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. no. no. no. god damnit. so much for that. i could have for murkrow, but i've already ****ing saved after evolving him.
Anyone know a decent way to train up for red besides mount silver,I dont like just regular training inside the mountain, not enough XP per pokemon. If anyone is curious I will post my team.
I beat him with this team. Aerodactyl level 65 Typhlosion level 70 Dragonite level 64 Sneasel level 65 Ampharos level 66 Poliwrath level 62 Poliwrath and Sneasel were used as Pokemon to throw out if I needed to revive one of the others. Dragonite was also but as a last resort. I'd say I only beat him because of a few lucky moves of his missed. The biggest annoyance is definitely his Snorlax. It has Rest, Blizzard and is holding Leftovers. Blizzard has a 100% chance of hitting aswell due to the hail. Blastoise and Lapras also have Blizzard in their moveset aswell so they can be a pain too. Post your team and I'll try and give you some sort of advice.
