I got the idea for this after reading Hellblazer 265. The issue was all about the aging punks in the modern UK and some other weird magical **** that you won't understand unless you read Hellblazer Anyway, tell me what you think. Poster sized prints available. I made this at like 18"x24" and like 600 DPI. DeviantArt Link: Don't Let Them Take You Alive by ~The-Whispy on deviantART
I don't understand it, but I like it. It's simple and clean, and with your permission it's going to be the screensaver on my Rumor2.
I think the statement itself is pretty obvious, but the context can be interpreted in any way you want. And yeah, feel free to use it as your screensaver.
saw this earlier on dA.. i like it a lot! although instead of white on the grunge that is in front of the "L" in alive, you could do black where it would be... if that makes sense. anyways, i love the minimalistic design; makes it very clean and nice
i can see what you're trying to do on the A, but its not really working with what youve actually used.
lol, don't give me that minimalism link, you oughta see my room. I'm a minimalist to the core. I'm just trying to give you feedback, no need to snap and act like that. All I'm saying is that it feels a bit empty and directionless to me, and I think that the background, which I think could go very well with the piece, draws the person's eye to the chunk 'o white. My suggestion would be to rotate the live in alive. Neat concept, though. Here's a great article on whitespace for webdesign, and although many of the topics covered are useless in this context, there is still quite a bit of valuable information there. Never said you didn't. Chill. I just thought maybe you could use that resource to improve your designs and take into consideration other people's views. The person who wrote that article indubitably has had more design experience than most of us here have, and I'm sure we could all learn a few things from that article.
I'm perfectly chill lol. And yeah, I agree that that is a good article. However, I've already incorporated many of those principles into my piece lol.
