I don't understand how locking the PPC is saving bandwidth.. Making a new one will use just as much memory or whatever, amirite?

 

Older ppc threads'll be compressed and saved in the server.

Every time people post there it needs to recache the whole thing, is what I understand. This should help a lot and let us have the option of putting some more cool features on the site, along with general reliability increase.

I'm not sure what the attachment to the "original" thread is either...it's a thread. We'll still keep the original post count so that this adds to it.
