Shields look fantastic. Holding energy sword actually looks badass rather than looking like someone who wants to give hugglez in H3. *Sees assault rifle merged into jetpack NOOOO BUNGIE!!! I think thats just part of the effect to make them stand out. In Oddball you can have a way point to show you where the skulls are. In Headhunter, there will be lots of skulls appearing and disappearing, so you need another way of making them show up; set them on fire and make them glow! I saw that G.D. screenshot and it made me realise that there won't need to be team colours in SvE. I just pictured the big SvE battle in the multiplayer trailer, with all the elites one colour and spartans another colour! So yeah, that will look pretty cool, being able to keep your own player colour.
Just added an update of the OP with images of all the new weapons and vehicles, as well as Lightsout info on the maps. Please suggest anything else to add to the op.
Does anyone have any ideas to how headhunter will work? From those pics I gather that headhunter will be like a free-for-all and players must gather others skulls, but once you die you lose all the ones you've collected for someone else to pick up.
There's the one from the first ViDoc. But I don't think they've released any real renders for it from what I've seen.
I think that it means that you can hold more, but you will just get the marker once you hit 10 to make it more difficult.
I was looking for something a little more official looking than that. I'll just wait till there's a render.
The mongoose is in, confirmed in GI article a few months ago, but it's not making an appearance in the bets so it won't be seen on the project page anytime soon. The stuff ok that page is just beta stuff. Nothing more, nothing less (except the laser, confirmed in this week's article as one of 3 randomly dropped weapons in generator defense)
