Hi everybody, I'm new here at Forgehub--well that's obvious I guess--but I haven't played Halo 3 much except when it first came out, and using it's forge is completely new to me as of last week. I was in forge exploring the layout of some of the Mythic maps (which I'm not very familiar with) when I started to goof around with things, then I got an idea for a fun scenario, so I decided to load up a different map and try it out...before i knew it I was making an entire map.

Long story short, I finished my map but didn't know how to change the starting points (which were critical), so I googled it, found the answer along with some videos on youtube about forging 101, realized all the cool things you could do with forge--well not all but way more than I thought possible--then decided to make a second, much better map to suit my original scenario. I spent hours and hours creating this second map, and since I was learning as I went, I constantly got stuck and made mistakes, so I went back online to find answers, and the best ones were always here at Forgehub.

I kept forging away, practicing and applying what I learned, all the while designing my map as I went, and finally, I got to the point where i was confident in both my design and technique--all I had to do was finish the map. All thanks to this site. Oops...that was kind of a long story, sorry about that. But wait! I forgot one thing! I realize now that my map is going to run out of budget before I can finish it the way I'd like to, so I have three options:

    1)Give up
    2)Compromise and make it half-ass
3)start ALL OVER using a glitched canvas (which I found where?--oh yeah, right here)

My screen name is KO Someone, but my online friends call me K 0 for short; however KO does not stand for "knock out"--it's origin is a long story. I play more Halo 2 than 3, but Halo 1 will always be my favorite (long story). I'm American, but I live in Canada, that too, is a long story. If you're still reading this, you're probably sick of long stories, so nice to meet you, you can call me KO, I like puppies but can't stand long walks or the beach, I'm going with option 3, and I'm here to stay.

Nice to see some intelligent new comers!

Well you don't need to use a budget glitched canvas, you MIGHT be able to use an OLN canvas, If you got the message that said "Could not create, too many objects on map" then you need an OLN canvas and if you simply ran out of Budget, you'll need an infinite money canvas, or maybe both at the same time...

Well nice to meet you, have fun at ForgeHub!

Thanks for the welcome MetaWaddleDee. I haven't encountered the "too many objects on map" problem, but it's possible to have a glitched canvas for both money and objects? I plan on starting my map over soon (on Foundry). I'd be thankful for any tips you have before I start.
