I'm getting the game today, which is cool. I'll have to try that out, because when I play on my friend's PS3, that first base pisses me off.

I've said it once before in this thread and im going to say it again, the NS-2000 is a fudging beast! You can literally shoot out helicopter pilots with it!

I've been shot out of the apache with it and I have also shot a pilot out of a blackhawk. The range is outrageous! There was this guy on Isle Inocentes who was just racking kills with it, he made it look like an ideal attacking weapon with it. Im gonna use shottys more often now...

With 12 gauge slugs. I use the increased magazine attachment as well. It is pretty friggin powerful. I just need to get better at quickly adjusting for the shot.

I tried your V Optics trick, and it works like a charm. I never found a Bradley at the attackers base, but the Abrams did the job perfectly.

It seems I have my tanks confused...

I'll have to try the N 2000 when I unlock it. What rank do you unlock it? I don't have access to an Xbox right now or I'd check.

Got the game yesterday, was whoring multiplayer all day. I'm rank 3, and my XM8 rapes. I'm 60 points away from unlocking the F2000, which is cool.

You my think some of the Beta weapons were awesome, you should see the others. I think i've also said this already in this thread, the M4A1 is like an a fully automatic sniper rifle, its really effective at long range. 4x scope, marksmen training and you should be counter-sniping in no time, lol.

Trust me, you'll have a better chance killing someone from the light house on Valparaiso than with a sniper rifle. Remember, short controlled bursts.

You know what i just noticed, where's the Howitzer from the first bad company? I guess they didn't put it in BC2 because buildings are now fully destructible...

I believe it is level 18. (there's this nifty thing called google)

The UAV replaced the Howitzer. The thing I'm missing more and more from BFBC1 is the AA guns. Sure, you have that tank, but you have to worry about idiots driving off in it while you're trying to take down a chopper. I don't mind Blackhawks, but Apaches and Hinds are extremely annoying.

BTW, the pros take out helicopters with N 2000, remember? I personally use C4.

Apaches and Hinds are really hard to take down if theres a good pilot. Blackhawks are easy to kill and hard to get kills with.

    My favorite strategy:
Playing defense, find some really well concealed spot in the defending base with a great view and chill there. Snipe some gais. Wait until the base is captured. STOP SHOOTING. slowly crouch walk to an extremely well hidden spot. Wait for things to calm down. Shoot a guy. Wait 5 seconds. Change your spot. Repeat. Make sure to shoot the UAV guy alot. Hes an easy free kill.

i do this with a sniper class btw

As an above average Blackhawk pilot, I get both of my gunners plenty of kills. I just fly low, and either hover for a bit or rock back and forth, then peel off in an orbit for a while, switching directions so both guys get chances to shoot. I listen to the gunners, so if they say slow down I do and they can usually finish a guy off. If I'm wounded, I have a teammate heal me in the air or I land it and heal myself. I'm pretty tough to take down I would say, and the gunners get kills. As well as dropping people off (landing > parachuting) at objectives.

I love the Hinds and Apaches though. Especially the Apache, but it's sometimes tough to get a chance to fly it because of how many people just camp its spawn.

When you fly a blackhawk low and slow, you are at high risk for Gustavs or Heavy MGs. You cant dodge a good gustav and its impossible to dodge a heavy MG. The problem is, the gunners need low and slow, but the pilot needs fast and high. Thats why the other choppers work. They go so damn fast.

I actually communicate with my gunners usually, and most times I'll hear something like "RPG to the right" or something along those lines, and I can dodge it. But the heavy MGs. I usually set my gunner up to take them out fast enough (after all it's a stationary target) and the fly away and heal.

It's really not as hard to survive in a blackhawk as people think. I like to think I can blend the high and fast orbit with the low and slow to keep us alive and get kills. As long as your gunners are half-competent and know how to hit a target or warn me that there is an RPG coming, I can stay in the air for a long time.

the apache on port valdez is too easily unopposed.

needs to be less powerful or easier to shoot down

Lmao. Yeah, I have always had a deep distaste for sniper whores, and this game really shows how useless they are. I usually play with a squad of guys that never go recon for extended periods of time, and we win 90% of the time and are Gold Squad every game. When I play with sniper whores in my squad, our team loses a lot more often. Sure you can get a fair amount of kills with a sniper, but remember kiddies, this is an objective game. K/d doesn't count for **** if you are defending or blowing up bases while attacking. So, next time you want to sit in a bush and snipe, don't, and see how much better your team does with you actually working with them.

A team needs no more than two snipers, and both must be very talented and team working. They need to spot EVERYTHING, use mortars appropriately, and take out important targets. I'm fine with people being recon if they know what they are doing. Nothing bothers me more than a shitty recon though.
