to catch raikou, entei, latios/latias: get genger w/ mean look and hypnosis. walk in and out of ecruteak(not for latio/as) until one shows up either below it or to the right on that little lake/pond. have gengar first, use mean look, then hypnosis, then hit with something to take it down to red. 5 ultra balls=catch
Just started the rocket hideout in Mahogany. Current team is: Poliwhirl level 35 Typhlosion level 37 Ampharos level 33 Pidgeot level 36 Nidorino level 31 N/A Not sure what I'm going to get. Thinking Umbreon but I may get Gengar after reading Wood Wonks post. Does it have to be a Gengar though? Is Haunter good enough?
It's actually very easy to get a gengar as long as you have a haunter. All you need to do is trade it and it evolves. I'll use one of my better pokemon as collateral so that I trade Gengar back to you, although I hope I just come off as trustworthy, either way it's better safe than sorry for you.
At this present time I have no wireless connection. So I can't access the Nintendo Wi-Fi. But I've got about 4 people in my family that own a DS so I think I'll just borrow theirs and trade it over to one of my other games. Also, How do I get Ho-oh to appear at the tower? I beat Team Rocket at Goldenrod and I climbed to the top of the tower but it wasn't there. Help PLOX.
Im quite sure you have to beat all the kimino girls or whatever they are called, once you beat them they give you a special item that allows ho-oh/lugia to appear.
Yes, you need to beat all the Kimono girls all in a row. They have one of each evee evolution so make sure you have all their weaknesses. Then you get the Clear Bell. Once you get that you know what to do.
Just realized I've got to beat the final gym first. Silly me. Oh well, I guess I'm off to Blackthorn. My current team after just leaving Mahogany: Ampharos level 36 Typhlosion level 42 Poliwhirl level 39 Pidgeot level 39 Nidoking level 36 Gastly level 21 (just caught, training)
I was originally going to get an umbreon but I decided to go with a Gastly so I can get a Gengar. I will still be getting all Eevee evolutions though, eventually. Just got halfway through fighting the 8th gym and I accidentally turned my game off. I need to learn to save.
I save like every 5 mintues because I have some wierd temptation to flick the power button and shut the game off. I was fighting Lance at the end of the game and beat him, then I shut of my DS because im an idiot.
Yes. That would be sweet. And to chrst, the only good eevee evolutions really are vaporeon and leafeon, and vaporeon is still easily outclassed both in sheer power by Gyarados, and in defense by Swampert. Although a team of eevee evolutions is pretty fun to use nontheless lol.
Spoiler In my opinion the Eevee evolutions are possibly some of the coolest looking pokemon out of all 493 of 'em. HeartGold is the first pokemon game in a while where an eevee or one of it's evolutions haven't been in my party.
I don't disagree with that at all. Like I said a team of straight eevee evos is awesome. Its just not that strong (which is rather unfortunate). I've decided to bring over my team from platinum for the battle frontier and other things of awesomeness. Here it is: Swampert lv.100 Rotom-H (heat form) lv.100 Scizor lv.100 Gyarados lv.100 Tyranitar lv.100 Lucario lv.100 Bred to very good IV's, natures, EV trained, this is the most time I've spent on one team. Ever.
My partyI just beat the 8th gym in HG(johto)) Kyogre beldum moltres zapdos trapinch sableye Good eh? So who agrees with the pokemon FH tournament idea?
I agree wholeheartedly. Although how is your trapinch still a trapinch after Claire's gym? Shouldn't that at least be a vibrava now?
Although I'm about 100% sure I won't do it, some more details may be helpful. Any rules that you're going to make? e.g no legendaries or something like that.
Not really. Just a theory of making one, idk really that much. @other dude: I just got trapinch Kyogre 41 Moltres 50 Beldum 7 Trapinch 25 Zapdos 50 Sableye 51
If there was a tournament the only ground rules I'd say was to not allow Event Pokémon. Legendaries are a vital part of teams, and I know I don't want to pick another electric to train so I can have a full team for a tournament. So I guess that's part selfishness, but I know many others who use Legendaries when battling, and it would be unfair to exclude them, especially since they can be caught by anyone. As long as they can be caught without an event item or going to an event (Everyone is able to catch them through one of the games) they should be fair game. I don't know if it'd merit it's own thread when we are thinking of doing it, but there should be some place to just discuss tournaments. I'd be willing to discuss rules with someone on this, like whoever wants to be in the tournament of course.
