So the game was released here in Aussieland yesterday. I'm loving every bit of this game. I just talked to Jasmine in the lighthouse and I'm currently training up my team a bit before I head off. My current team is: Krabby level 21 (just caught) Quilava level 30 Nidorino level 27 Pidgeotto level 29 I also plan on getting an electric type aswell so I have an advantage when I cross the water. I'm not sure if I want to keep Nidorino though. It looks like a retarded purple rat.
ffff**** jasmine's magnemites. seriously, **** them. I got through the battle, but ****ing barely and with 2 revives and too much potion. the only pokemon i have that's any bit effective against steel is my poliwhirl who happens to be double super affective against magnemite BUT MAGNEMITE IS ELECTRIC. I had this plan, to put the magnemites to sleep and switch to poliwhirl to use mud shot. It worked with the first one(flying colors i might add), but the second one had a sliver of HP left so as usual, gym leader uses hyper potion, magnemite wakes up, i get ****ed up in one hit. Then it was just a dance of my guys getting one hit killed and me racing to use potions... not ****ing cool. What's funny is that Jasmine's Steelix wasn't even a problem. Currently i'm trying to catch a murkrow in the safari zone, and i'm ****ing raging again. I CANT CATCH ONE. I got a kangaskhan no problem, but i can't catch these murkrows, its stupid. Anybody have safari zone tips to catching motherfuckers that run away constantly? EDIT: I ****ING GOT ONE YES. ONLY TOOK ME 2.5 HOURS. YESSSSSS. now i have to train it....
give up and go play pokemon! obviously pokemon is fun because it's so laid back (most of the time anyway.. my family looks at me like im an idiot because im yelling at my DS. lol.) FFXIII sounds intriguing, i'm almost tempted to get it but i can NEVER get into RPG's that aren't pokemon or zelda....
Oh Chuck if you needed a Murkrow you could've asked me, during my pokewalker with Latios that's all I found.
Yes, although I haven't tried it, there are courses in the pokewalker where you are able to catch them. Some pokemon are even exclusive to it.
Anyone here ever try working with IV's? For EV's, you can max them out pretty evenly with 10 of a vitamin in every stat, then one HP up. IV's I never bothered with. I hated them, they always confused and bothered me. lol, I'm going to try to get my wife to play pokemon, wish me luck.
Yeah there's a pokeradar option that costs 10 watts to use, but you can find some pretty rare pokemon It's a really simple system though to catch them, with three buttons, attack, evade, and catch. Both you and your pokemon have 4 health bars, taking one off for regular attacks and 2 for critical.
****, well i dont want to use that ****. lol. you should catch all the pokewalker exclusive pokemon for us and breed us eggs. (lol kidding) (...no but seriously)
Pokewalker Route/Pokemon Listings That is a serebii page that lists every pokewalker route, criteria for unlocking and all of the pokemon and items that can be found on each route. The coolest imo, is in a route called "Yellow Forest" that can only be unlocked by an event or something, but you can catch flying/surfing/volt tackling pikachu there... and thats win.
I should do that; be the FH breeder. Im still on the 4th gym but i beat the 5th. Actually now im in the lighthouse, then imma go get riako. Why the **** are so many flying pokemon normal? My sableye does nothing...
I would breed starters but i always go with male character and if i remember correctly it goes by your sex Spoiler
you mean the starters gender? its just 12.5% chance of female and 87.5% male. I usually restart until i get a female, but you can just ditto it up if necessary.
Really? i didnt know that, wasnt it like that in GenIII tho? Oh yeah, i forgot about the ditto sex machine...
Got Soul Silver the day it came out. Beat Red in under a week. Now I'm going through and catching all the legendaries and anything I find while mulling around Kanto and Johto. Right now I got, Lugia, Ho-oh, Entei, Raikou, Suicune, and Latios. My team is beastly: Typhlosion lv 90 Feraligatr lv 93 Meganium lv 92 Skarmory lv 94 Tyranitar lv 95 Togekiss lv 97 (all done in game). I don't remember my friend code right now. I'll edit this post either tonight or tomorrow and put it in. I had all 493 pokemon in platinum and I'm more than happy to trade or battle with anyone (haven't yet on SS but on Platinum, my battle record was 42-17). In all honesty, if you're gonna take the time to work with EVs at least, you should really not rely on vitamins; it's better to start training your pokemon towards two or three stats the minute you get it if you're gonna bother. An pokemon with average EVs across the board won't stack up at all in competition when it matters (i.e. Battle Frontier, metagame, etc.) but a pokemon that has, say two maxed out stats or three really high stats will serve its role a lot better. Oh and IV's are terrible lol. Good luck trying to get your wife to play pokemon lol.
