Regeneration Slayer (Gametype)

    Ok just letting everyone know that I am creating a map for this gametype. Im about a quarter of the way through designing it. I hope it turns out well so we can test out the gametype on it. I am also thinking of setting up a variant of Guardian for Regen Slayer.

    mmm guardian could be good actually, it works quite well for swat, not sure where you'd place the CPU's though.

    I've started a map in the crypt as well. Hopefully, i'll have it done by the weekend but i'm not sure, I have the hill area semi complete, and one base complete, the other base is about half way done, and then i have the connecting parts to build yet.

    Instead of only 25% decrease make it a little more.

    Sweeett.. well in all honesty.. my internet sucks unless i play early saturday mornings, which in EST = approx 04:00am.

    But, if possible i'll jump into a game with you tonight? Are you in the uk or us?

    Also, i like that you've gone for the FFA whip on this... i've decided to make the first Team map, i'll be making an asymmetrical ffa map next. Have you got any pictures of what you've got so far?

    UPDATE:

    Tested the gametype on my own with a working map. Found the game had a few kinks. CPU settings prevent the holder to lose shields in the hill, so changed CPU time to 10 seconds. Also the CPU player speed was still 150% which is annoying. That is now default.

    Tested the gametype with a 3 player FFA on the map. The gametype was fun everyone enjoyed the game but advised a larger map is required with more spawn areas as multiple times players spawned behind one another.

    Urban Myth and Big Daddy Deano were the other players and hopefully Myth will have something to contribute to the gametype test at some point. Both testers suggested a Team environment

    Ok cool. The map that I made was a bit small, but then again it was just to test. I have also setup guardian for this gametype so if you want I'll post a link?
    Also I live in Australia.

    Yeah well, whenever you feel its ready to test your map, go for it. Try pull together a small group of people you usually game with an are expressive. Obviously the more people that play the gametype at the moment the better because its still open to suggestions / improvements which is why i havent launched the guide yet.

    Main areas i want to know about really is, what weapon is prefered to start with? should it be magnum? or would it be too underpowered to battle with someone who is full shield when your a 1 shot from spawn?

    Also, i'm putting a little map teaser up in a few minutes
