The barret does the exact same damage the Intervention does, so if you get a hitmarker, your own damn fault. If you procede to blindfire spam, you're either dumb or have to much ammo for your own good.

A couple more videos I found:

YouTube- MW2 - Intervention VS. Barret

YouTube- Barrett .50 Cal vs. Intervention Damage Test

As you can see, both snipers deal the same damage, and the Barrett sway less and settles from holding your breath faster than the Intervention.

As stated above, if you're quick/noscoping and complaining about hitmarkers, STFU, you can't tell if you hit his head or his pinky toe if you aren't zoomed in. Don't blame it on the rifle.

Exactly why intervention=for quickscoping and Barret=for hardscoping.
Personally I love both to death, and which one I use depends on how I feel like playing.

Ahhh Nor, remember that first custom with Magic? :3

    Been with us ever since.

I like to use both, but i find myself using the intervention frequently more often than the barret.

It all comes down to a weapon of choice.

Because it's the only weapon that uses a custom .408 Caliber Bullet.
Because it's the only weapon that combines the power of the .50 Caliber Barrett M107 Sniper Rifle and yet has amazing accuracy and range.

    That Original enough for ya?

I like using Both, TBH. I've been trying to use the Barrett more this time around though, I'm much better with the Intervention, but eh..

Actually, in real life an accurate sniper is often a powerful one as the larger bullet size cuts through the air more easily, which also gives it greater range to so this statement is wrong

If you want to talk realistic, explain why a sniper that's carrying a 50lb Barrett can run as fast as someone carrying a 5lb smg? Doesn't make any sense.

An SMG holder would be carrying much more ammunition.

A Rifleman / Infantryman carries much more equipment and heavier armour, when compared to a Sniper who would be in a lightweight suit. His rifle could cancel out these differences. Personally i would allow Sniper to be capable of running faster / sprint longer than other players, but obviously in a game like this it would be overpowering.

    Not true.

All objects drop at the same rate (9.8 Ms^-1) . However. A sleaker, thinner round will lose less energy as it travels, especially if it is coated correctly. A higher velocity will result in less bullet-drop over the same distance.

Newton says it best. Velocity has a greater effect on energy than mass.

    Kinetic Energy = ½ M x V^2

    Damn, physics are gettin' involved!
Intervention for attack, Barrett for camp. trust me, I'm right. This is how they are best used IMO.

I meant that a heavier round would be able to overcome air resistance more easily, then it would slow down less and get to the target sooner having less time to drop (I am in physics and have gone through the bullet fired vs. bullet dropped lesson too) However already disproved my thoughts with his knowledge of the intervetntion in real life, well played sir. I am amazed that it has more kinetic energy though, that thing's gotta be going a lot faster to make up for the reduced weight. (That may not be a good thing however, that fast with a smaller round would just make a hole with no other damage, baisically the person wouldn't feel it until they looked down, they could probably just hold their hand over it until they get to a medic. Oh, wait supersonic= shockwave=chunks+solid organs becoming liquids eww...

    The barrett isn't 50lbs. It's approximately 31 pounds, with a 29 inch barrel.

You guys take things way too seriously. I know its just a game and not everything can be realistics, but with certain things, they can. The game was made with intentions of making things realistic.

All im saying is that the Barrett should be able to kill players with one-shot just like the Intervention because realistically its capable of doing so.
