(leave a comment ho's) Welcome to Radiant Radiant is a map that I sketch'd up awhile back when I first had seen MickRaiders [Insert really long map name here] map. His seperate bases really inspired me to create something along the lines of what he did, but not to be too un-original, I decided to make two. Radiant will Play (1v1) (2v2) and (3v3), which is pushing it. have a warthog turret have two snipers, one of each of the opposing bases be coming out very soon, as soon as I can get it tested. Whoa Looks like an original layout, which, like you said, resembles mickraiders map. I hope you do a lot more to it though, how long would you say it has taken you to get this far, and how long do you think it will take to be finished? And next time im on, shoot me an invite so I can see this, k bro?
the ramps on the side of the maps (the floating areas assuming their red and blue base) seem to be a little steep. but maybe it is just the angle of the picture. Anyways i can't wait to see the finished map...
Very original, and cool concept, especially the two layers of the middle structure. It seems like it would be really dangerous to go top mid though.
I believe you are talking about Archipelago, great map. Anyway, this map looks pretty original, and there being two floating islands could be interesting, however, it looks quite boring at the moment. I am aware that this is a preview, and I am very intrigued and will be watching this preview closely. One thing I hope to see is some more Z movement, as it appears to be along one horizontal plain at the moment.
I actually started forging today.. haha. And sure, the next opportuninty, I will invite. They do look a-bit steep don't they, well actually, they aren't, they work just fine. Actually, from the angle that I took these pictures from, top middle looks alot more dangerous than it really is. In the very middle there is elevated ground, and throughout the entire top, there are railings, just high enough to where the people on the mancannon bases can shoot their top halfs, but if they duck, or run towards the wall they are getting shot from, all fire won't hurt them. Also, the two side bases are pretty much one kill deals, because if you stay there much longer after you get a kill, people will notice and with no cover around.. not much living going on. Gah, I really have to take better pictures, I think it looks quite nice. Yeah, I've got to somehow incorporate some more vertical duels into this map, and with 500 budget left, I'm considering adding a somewhat half layer to each side.
I didn't realize that the middle section was devided into two layers until just now, what's the lower level look like?
Its more enclosed, with more cover. It has two tele's and graf-lifts at the ends to get you back on top.
