HI, everyone! I got Left 4 Dead 2 a few weeks ago, and really found that it gave me a rush by scaring the **** out of me whenever a zombie jumped out of somewhere. Here, you can post your scariest Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2 moments here, whether it be a zombie jumping out of a bush, opening a door and finding yourself face to face with a Tank, or running out of ammo for your favorite gun (lol). Anyway, here's my scariest moment: I was playing through Campaign for the first time on Left 4 Dead 2, and I was in the "Hard Rain" Campaign, on the "Return to town" mission. I had just left the safe room, and one of the nasty rain storms came up where you couldn't see a thing, and I had a Combat Shotgun (That's the Shotgun that fires quickly and according to the gun store's sign, is banned in 23 states). There were no growls or warnings, and my teammates were far behind. I approached a ruined building, and a Hunter lunged at me from behind a bush next to the house. So, there it was, a rain squall, allies far away, no warning. The Hunter filled my screen, I could literally see it's whole face. My Shotgun snapped up, and I nailed it in the face and killed it. So go ahead, share your moments.
LAN Center. 6 Friends, 2 Randoms. The parish finale. Lets just say, I was on the randoms' team first, then when I got raped, a friend left, and I went onto the infected team. lets just say that was the most fun game of Charger I've ever played... Because all this one guy saw was how he turned the corner and then got charged through the bridge.
Ok, I was playing the demo(don't have the game, gonna get it for Mac in april) and I rushed to the saferoom, waiting for my team. Two of em get downed so I go and help the third and save them. We come back and a hunter and spitter are waiting for us, scared the **** out of me when I turned that corner!
I don't really find Left 4 Dead scary to be honest. I get startled sometimes, but never really scared.
In this case, by scared, i think he is referring to startled. Two words for pretty much the same thing. I dont really ever remember being startled though...
You never do get scared. Just a quick jump... Now the first game that is actually scary I will buy. Living in fear while playing sounds fun.
I was playing scavenge mode and a charger burst through a door i was about to open. Made me jump pretty bad.
I was playing around midnight (new years) and I saw a witch. This was my first time ever playing L4D, and thought it was just any regular zombie. I shot it in the head with a sniper rifle and then it lunged at me and beat me down, then ravaged me. The camera zoomed in really close to it's face and it gave me a jump. Reminded me of all those scary movies.
When I played the original Left 4 Dead demo, not exactly knowing what to expect I was scared, legitimately scared. However, that fear has let up. Let's see I was really startled when it was raining outside around midnight with my friend. We were playing Hard Rain and both storms were really loud. My sister, who watches me play video games and plays some herself, decided to burst through the door and scream like a witch. It startled the hell out of us.
Yeah, I mean when you turn a corner and feel your stomach lurch, or you flinch in your seat, something like that.
