MW2 - Intervention vs. Barrett .50 cal

By rapid fire he means a Rapid Fire Mod. The unfair advantage is the exact point of hacked classes.

 

Pick up the intervention, and press the RB as fast as you can.
Now, pick up the 50 cal, and press RB as fast as you can.

Tell me which one you think would be considered 'rapid fire'.


Spoiler: If you really had to perform this 'test' you should quit MW2 because you obviously suck at it.

why? i have the aiming and recoil looping down to a science. i rarely have to shoot-to-hit more than once, so i don't even care about how rapid it fires, but in times that i do for last standers and such, i can loop it around with a second shot before they notice they're in last stand. Oh, and it's awesome in every way shape and form.

I'm into hit and kill with one shot, but i like the security of being able to shoot again as fast as possible with a barrett because of last stand cocks.

intervention is cool, great for initial aim practice. i used it for a while, but i switched back to the barrett and started owning dudes harder than ever. I ****ing love that gun.

p.s.- the WA2000 is a 1 hit kill in all the places a barret or intervention is without SP.

 

Really, even in the leg? Ive used it before and its not usually a one hit kill, and putting stopping power on it doesnt really increase its power.

 

a WA2000 with coldblooded is the same as the barret or intervention with coldblooded.
but if you put SP on, than it hardly makes a difference.

 

I have found the ACOG on the Barret just as good as the intervention.

 

I completely Agree with the guy who posted the long post about the intervention and barret. Personally Intervention is way better cause its less heavy.

Those Graphs are bull. try one shotting someone to the chest with anything BELOW the intervention(sometimes barret works.) and it's not possible.

Barret, they die SOMETIMES.
wa2000 or m21, close to never(except in hc) I'm just saying those graphs are just fishy to me.

 

Barret is always FYI, not sure about other two because I don't use them. Don't talk **** about guns you obviously don't use. I'm also assuming you are using stopping power.

i dont need to flame. SRC and everybody else, try this please:

a) make classes for each sniper (no attachments or stopping power)
b) go into local match with 2 players
c) test it

experienced with both guns, I find that for some reason the intervention 1 hit kills more often. I have red tiger for barrett, and fall for intervention.however there may be certain sweet spots tht both snipers have,,, idk. with me, the intervention is 1 hit KO more often.

 

The 50. caliber rounds on the barret is unrealistic. In COD4 Campaign you blow a guys arm off with a barret, yet in MW2 you can find barrets in makarov's safe house and they don't do ****.
