I think I may have to. I get bored of Halo 3 quickly and I can only play my other games to a certain extent. That includes Cod4 aswell. Think I'll have to find another game to play for a while.
Been doing a lot of sniping lately. I'm trying to finish the challenge Ghillie in the Mist III (200 one shot kills with a sniper rifle) so I unlock my desert ghillie suit. I prefer having ironsights on the Vector, rather than a RDS. That's just me anyway.
They are releasing this a bit early aren't they? HR comes out a month after, they've got the glory for just another thirty days.
I agree. Releasing it on March 30th isn't going to convince anyone to stay and play MW2 instead of Reach. Still the pack sounds pretty sweet. Except for Storm. Reminds me of Scrapyard to much.
So it looks like that vid was pretty legit. I'm probably gonna get the map pack, it sounds pretty cool.
Wow, 2 months of being grounded, played for like 4 hours at my friends house. I still got it baby! Sniped the **** out of people.
I really dont think reach is going to be that good. Halo games just get boring after a while, they need to come up with a new concept or something.
I use this sometimes, when I'm realllly in with my quickscoping. But other than that I always have to have my m9 tac knife.
In reality, Reach doesn't even need to be all that fun, plenty of fanboys will buy it just cause. And then you have Forge and Theater, which prolong the gaming for a good bit. I do agree, however, unless there is something special about Reach, it'll just be like an upgrade to Halo 3.. which we have all been playing for 3 years now.
You could say the same thing from Halo 1 to Halo 2 to Halo 3. If you guys have played all of them, you KNOW they're all about the same. It's just an "upgrade" every time (though H3 was kind of a downgrade in terms of map quality compared to H2's brilliant design). So, we've been playing the same game (by this logic) since...2002, I believe. You don't need a gimmick or something "new" to make Halo good. There's a reason Halo lasts so long, and it's because they DON'T use gimmicks. Regardless, this IS the MW2 discussionz, so I should probably put in my thoughts on that. I'm sure the map is all well and done, I think I recall IW saying that the 360 would get the map pack early as a kind of "mini-exclusive", so I don't think they're rushing to get it out before Reach. People will still flock to MW2, no matter what....it's been better advertised and sold than anything ever before. Personally, I probably won't be buying it. The game's just....not good. Though the apartment level intrigues me, I'd love to see squad based close combat...but translated to MW2, that means "camping in the corner with a shotgun". Not a fan of Overgrown. Crash is quite good, at least in COD4. Just overall...none of them sound like anything that will make the game any better than it's current level. None of these seem to fill in any spots in their lists (though the 3 I can't talk for), like Overgrown is more than dealt with enough already....
I agree with what you said about Reach just being an upgrade to halo 3, but can't that be said for every sequel? Isn't modern warfare 2 just an upgrade to modern warfare? All sequel games will use what has worked for them in the past and go from there. Edit: damn, insane beat me to it
i will be purchasing MW2 DLC. i <3 that game. i dont care how poorly made it is, i love everything about it. i feel like you people exagerate. play some objective game or hardcore, much less of a campfest.
I've been playing Bad Co. for the last while to get away from MW2 and to get some time in on the game I was looking forward to for quite some time, but the DLC has me interested. Crash and Overgrown were two of my favorite CoD4 maps, and I would like to see how MW2 handles them. Hopefully the Assault rifles wont out Snipe the Sniper rifles on Overgrown, but Crash seems like a SMG paradise. I'm a bit skeptical about the 3 other maps, since a majority of the maps MW2 shipped with kind of suck. Give me Afgan or give me death!
