true... but you need to remember that Battlefield Bad Company 2 has alot much better gameplay and less glitches
The bad company 2 graphics look far superior to me. Probably because they were more designed with realism in mind. The effects are fantastic too.
The multiplayer seems less detailed and crisp on my tv. The framerate drop is most jarring to me since my main multiplayer game has been MW2 since November. I notice lower res textures an jaggies a lot more, I dunno maybe it's just me.
bc2 has a better engine imo. for what it's put through, it could **** on MW2's any day. apparently MW2 uses COD4's base engine which was COD2's base engine. which = fail. frostbite for ME2 plox dice
It's just a shame that a game as good as BF:BC2 has to run on the world's shittiest server, EA. It takes forever for me to find a game. I can never join any of my friends because it says I have lost connection to the server, even though I could always play with them in any other game and my connection has never lagged. And then when I get into a game 50% of the time it's lagging. Just great.

"You" being anyone who wants to play It seems to be 30, but I could be wrong about that. DICE said that they were going to be restarting the servers tonight (I think), so that should help a little. Yes, it's connected to the EA servers, but it shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as you're describing. I was playing just fine over the last few days, with a few drops here and there.
It's probably just my luck that every game I get put in most likely has someone lagging. It gets me extremely annoyed with the game and I usually just leave and go play something else. And I hate EA's user interfaces to begin with, like the fact that you can't even back out of a search that is taking 5+ minutes. But yes, everything I said in my previous post was happening to me ever since I bought the game.
Strange. Are you playing on PC? Because as far as clarity and framerate MW is definitely better on 360. The battlefields in BC are just too big and as a result, and understandably, the graphics take a hit.
MW2 has really bad textures and awkward animations. BC2 has some really nice textures and the animations are very clean. MW2 only really has a nice framerate.
Another reason the graphics were more dumbed down in BC2 than MW2 is because of all the special FX that takes place during games. From mortar strikes to tank explosions to crumbling buildings. Add that with 24 players, huge maps, and vehicles and it'll take a toll on your xbox. I have already experienced game crashes in BC2... By the way, does anybody want to squad up now or some other times? My GT is Shihuru... Has anybody medic or engineer boost? If you have Squad Rush can do it. I got about 20000 xp and grew like 4 lvls and finished my medic class...
I didn't think the texture or animations were bad or awkward, but BC's were pretty good as well. I think that there is just too much going on in a Battlefield map to make it look super clean. Concessions need to be made and if having fully destructible environments comes at the cost of some clarity and detail then so be it. It's a bit hard to compare the two since the engines are so different. MW's maps are much smaller, cleaner, and run at almost double the framerate, while BC's is the more impressive running engine overall, but at a graphical loss. I have a 42 inch HD Tv that I game on I found it way easier to locate and identify enemies in MW, but I have bad eyes to begin with so as I said it may just be me.
ive only had 1 problem with lag... and not only that but i got a message from the guy that was lagging saying 'guess who got lag switched douchebag' so um i dont see what you are on about
So I play Rush a lot, but seeing as none of my friends have BC2 yet, I'm often stuck in games on a squad with nobody talking and no teamwork whatsoever. Which sucks, because Rush is all about teamwork. So if anybody wants to get a squad to play rush later (in about an hour probably) then send me a FR. GT is ABigDumbOgre. I play as medic the most, and am pretty good. I'm not one of the campy selfish ones, I actually go and stick my neck out to get to downed or wounded teammates. I think I'd be a pretty good squad member, even better on a squad that actually talks and lets me know if they need help. Want to play later, send me a FR.
I play Engineer every time and use the XM8 Compact. I am fantastic at flanking, destroying vehicles, and overall harassing the enemy team. Within a few games, i will have the AT4, which will allow me to take out any chopper at any time in one hit. Unfortunately, the AT4 only has one shot, so I wont be as effective against tanks. Also, i am a really good tank driver. I tend to sit in an elevated position and rain shells down on the objectives. add me for rush/anything else BC2 related. GT= Unyieldingmight
Me you ask? Well i am 2 things... I play as a Recon and i am very good at it, I just need a spot on the target and then the distance doesnt matter. I have had a 672 marksmen shot once on isle inocentes. And then there is assault which i do well at. I use the new zealand millitary weapons (Here) because thats where im from... i know i am a freak...
XM8 LMG for medic is the best, attach the red dot and your an unstoppable beast! 4x scope on UMP means rapeage. M14A with 4x scope equals automatic sniper rifle! Im a pro at BC2, my tactics are unbeatable, and i cant stress how much of a good pilot i am... Add my GT Shihuru, if any of you guys dont have a squad...
