    Welcome, to Multicog.

    When Multicog began, it was just merely a cool center structure. A center structure that I couldn't let slip through my hands. You have no idea how many maps I begin, lose intrest in, and delete. The numbers are quite rediculous really. Something about this map kept me loading it up into forge, and let me tell you, this is my strongest map to date.

    Multicog is definetely the best map I have ever created thus far,
    and I truly hope you enjoy any games you get on it
    as much as my friends and I have. :)

    And finally OneNondual for hosting THE BEST CUSTOMS EVER!!! Seriously, whether you know about this guy or not, he holds the most controlled, fair, and amazingly fun custom games in the world, and over the last few months he's really become a great friend of mine. I look forward to many many game nights in the future Steve!! (P.S. I can't wait for reach)

    Wow you seem to be shooting out maps left right and centre nowdays. If I had the patience and motivation to create all my ideas I'd have tons of maps. But... I don't.

    This looks really nice. The cog shapes are a great aesthetic to the map that make it much more interesting to look and play on. I like how you can drive a warthog onto the top level.

    Cant really comment on game play but if you're on tomorrow would you be able to setup a sweet custom game.

    I played this with you and nondual and ace, and my initial reaction was "great, another shitty ridiculously tall BTB map where everyone will just run to the high ground over and over again or stay on the low ground and get picked off one by one."

    I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. This map played great. Maybe it was because of the King gametype forcing players to leave power positions (why I love King), or maybe it was just the players we were with, but I think it's got more to do with the lines of sight (that plague tall maps) being severed by beefy walls below the walkways. You can't stand on any one point and see more than a fraction of the map, and there's no way to watch all the ways up either to where you are or to another position that can challenge you. Also, each tall position can be shot at from multiple other tall positions which led to something resembling Construct gameplay, where the high points are clearly better than down low, but there are enough high points spread out enough that they counter each other nicely.

    I was going to offer vague trash talk here against Epitel which is a recent popular map that does all of the above wrong, without mentioning it by name for fear of offending the creator. Then I went to the thread, and since you made that map too, I'd like to tell you to do more maps like this, less maps like that.

    This map looks sexy, and is fun to play on when you manage to stop drooling at the site of those sexy buildings, I had alot of fun playing this last night, and hope to play it more.

    Awesome man. I'm glad this finally got released. I love this map, and it plays amazingly well for all gametypes.

    I remember the initial versions and since then the map has been transformed into a true masterpiece. It's incredibly mobile and has the best man cannon I've ever seen.

    We've had some amazing games on this and I know we'll have plenty more in the future.

    So not only did you create one of the best maps of all time (imo) you also invented the incredible gametype Triple Neutral Flag to go along with it?!? W. . .T. . .F. .? Seriously, how is this even possible? I think you might have torn the fabric of space time, and what is even possible in a user created map.

    From the first time I saw the beta version, I was in awe. And you’ve only made it better. . .somehow. With so much user created content out there a map can get lost in the crowd, but this map stands out amazingly well to me. The map structure is incredibly solid and fun to play on additionally those “cogs” look absolutely GORGEOUS! I’ve stood back in awe several times at just the aesthetic beauty alone.

    And then you’ve not only used one of my favorite things in Halo, -the Man-cannon-, you’ve made a very unique “inverted curve” Man-cannon as well. The chopper boosting into that and then flying gracefully across the top of the map is the stuff of legends. . .LEGENDS!!!!

    Of the Hundreds of maps I’ve looked at and the 130 or so maps that are in our customs rotation this has got to be in my top 5 (seriously maybe my 1st or 2nd). And that’s as un-biased of an opinion as I can imagine. This map is *expletive* AMAZING!! Thanks for making this, I look forward to playing on this many, many more times.


    Post Script: Thanks a lot for the mention about the custom games we play. They amaze me too. I’m seriously in awe of the how many seriously cool guys we game with. And not to mention several of them are incredibly gifted and intelligent forgers just like you. It’s been awesome getting to know you Nick, and I look forward to many games in future TOOOOO!!!! **word echoes down the halls of Valhalla to infinity**

    My Review: 4/5 When i played this with my friends i found that it was hard to tell where i was getting shot from .. there fore there was so many elevated spots .. i love the structre of the map so much..5/5 its just the gameplay i thought was a little confuseing. :/
    The Video: hahaha i though i would say something about the video .. the over kill was great and when you Assassinated the warthog ! haha great! lol'd

    This map is amazing. I just realized because what someone said about the map being very cramped, that's what makes the map great! Too many big team maps are too open, and Multicog fixes that. I am actually wondering right now how the hell you got it to feel so cramped and not open.

    Typical game with me in it:
    Ace: When you spawn, let me have the sniper.
    Other Guy: Why???
    Ace: Cuz I rape with it.
    *game starts*
    *Other guy picks up sniper*
    *Betrayed*
    Ace: I'm happy now.

    You better not have moved the sniper at the last minute.

    Very nice map. I rarely download competitive map unless there is something really unique about them.

    Damn this is badass. A lot better than my idea for a KoTH map I had... eh.

    There are some awesome tactical jumps in the map, and nice use of mancannons as well. The merging is awesome too.

    Imma dl as soon as I can.

    This is sick, sexy and something else, i downloaded earler and i must say im impressed with all the different lookout points on this map i only had one 6 vs 6 on this map and it was fun as hell. King of the hill like you said worked perfectly it was so fun.

    I really love th huge man cannon which launches you have way across the map to get the sword. anyway just every thing was perfect hope this map comes into the TGIF nights.

    This map looks amazing. I love maps with elevation, a lot of opportunities to pull ninja tricks>.
    Awesome map, cant wait to DL and give it a try. Im having a party tmrw wit my friends and we are sooo gonna play this. Im glad u didnt put Dual wieldable weapons in, im not a fan of those.
    Im lookin forward to a lot of good times on this map :)

    I hope everyone is understanding the style of how you forge now, Noxiw. HUGE structures with lifts that will BLOW your mind. I didn't really think you could get more unique than Epitel but after testing this and future releases, you always have something new coming for us. Really nice work and continue inviting me to the testing sessions you have on these type of maps. I really enjoy playing them.

    I was impressed with Epitel, but this looks even better. I like having 2 main central areas instead of just 1 like most maps. Nice work, the aesthetics and gameplay both look great.

    I remember when this map was just a WEE LITTLE BABY! It was just a floating Cog that had nothing around it, then I blinked and BAM middle area was made, then I blinked again and it was done...

    They Grow up so fast...

    Er... This is looking awesome, really awesome, but it means i'm going to have to remake my btb map quite a bit to make it look more distinct. The mancannons at the centerpiece are fantastically done, it it looks like a joy to traverse the top of the map instead of an obstacle.

    People keep on ravin' about the two mancannons, anyone could simply pull off the same effect, I don't see them to be that special, but regardless, thanks Vince! :)

    Oh Mr. Dual, it's always a pleasure to play with you guys. And I can't imagine myself getting sick of hearing you freak out on close/epic games any time in the near future. Seriously though, Just tonight when we played I was only in on the last little bit of your games and somehow almost filled my recent games cache in the theatre? There is only one way for that to happen, successful custom games, which, you sir, are the host of.

    Thanks dude, that goes with all maps though, (to an extent) the first time in a map may be confusing, you don't know where any of the weapons are, the layout, etc, I'm glad you like it for the most part though. :)

    Ace, for the billionth time, I will not be moving the sniper, I know if I do, you will completely freak out on me and may take me off your friends list. ;) But in all seriousness, I have no intensions on moving it. :) And that is exactly how every game with you in it sounds, and I'm usually the one being betrayed.

    Thanks Combat, many people have said I make some sick mancannons, but as mensioned before, anyone can pull it off. :) I don't know if it'll be in any TGIF nights, but who knows, it may. :)

    I actually didn't even realise there weren't dualwieldable weapons placed until you said that. Generally the custom games I join in have SMG secondaries so I just kind of overlooked dual weapons. Funny.

    Thanks Phenom, I'll definetely be inviting you to more tests of future releases in the future. :)

    I also remember that floating cog... and thinking: "What the hell am I supposed to do with this?" And then the idea fairy kicked me and the map was born. ;)

    Thanks Kestrel, if you'd seen the very original version, the center piece was definetely more of an obstacle to cross... But, I hope I've changed all that to work better. :)

    So I fired Multicog up for a 3v3 CTF game yesterday. I started off just runing through center, getting an idea of the map. But once the clear layout hits you, you realise it's all about elevation.

    I really liked the cog design. It's something that I haven't really seen before, and a breath of fresh air for ground-floor sandbox maps. The mancannons also looked beautiful, but performed well too. The Central lower area was fantastic to enter from below, and even gave off a feeling similar to (Halo 2) Sanctuary's central area. I was honestly half expecting the sword to be resting in the center.

    Overall, I really enjoyed Multicog. It was a brilliant balance of aesthetics and gameplay. This one is definately staying on my HD.

    Goddammit you are a legend. You have some of the coolest and most unique structures out of any forger I know of and you have some of the most unique man cannon designs ever. The map is truly beautiful and has some really crazy sight lines along with a spot on layout. I only got to play one or two games on it but I thoroughly enjoyed each one. You did a very good job with the weapons and spawns (all without my help what :O) I remember back when you and I would Forge day and night and you'd make all these crazy structures but struggle with weapons, spawns, and general theories and the like, leaving me to take charge of that department. Now, it looks like you don't even need my help anymore (not that that's a bad thing, mind you.)

    ****ing A' dude, we need to release the remains of our map pack soon. Then, when I get my Xbox back, I'm gonna get right on Halo and throw out some of the crazy ideas that have been building up in my head during my time spent playing other games.
